Which attack are we gonna favour do ya think? Time consuming searches (for people and bomb threats, which cant be easily spotted as fake reports ussing CCTV) on saying this.....cant the police access medical records of people, so if we report a murder or death, then they will disregard it by lookin at the health of People in that area...they dont see a dead person then they dont go looking? i think time consuming bomb hoaxes and missing person/most wanted persons is the way to go here. Did cymbalisty's (spelling?) key alert the authorities when he died? i cant remember.
if we have enough people report the most wanted people in the same area, then we have a good chance of clearing four precincts, and make 3 bomb hoax's in the other 3 areas (keep it away from the Gig tho, otherwise it might get cancelled) or think of some other time consuming search for them to carry out.
So, what ya think?

I think out of respect to Kurt deciding to do this we should do the time consuming crimes rather than something as big as bomb threats or murders. Remember he had a huge reservation about this in case we tie everybody and someone really gets hurt and no-one is around.

Im not 100% sure about this, but logic would say they have admin staff as well as police working at these places. So really isnt it the admin we want to tie up not the police themselves? We want the computer access which would fall under admin.
So really we just want to keep the lines busy to tie up the staff so Anna's husband can use the terminal.

I agree, stay away from bomb threats and the like, never good to hoax that sort of thing.

No, the whole point is to get all the police tied up so they call in the part timers and in extreme circumstances they release the computer system to the part timers if it's needed. So we need to tie up the entire police force so that they call in the back up, but the crimes need to be serious and numerous enough that they deem it important to allow the part timers access to the computer system.

ok, so the way i see this is that we need to invoke the most panic with the least number of calls. We dont know how many phone lines Kurt will enable us to tap into so i think we need to be prepared that not everyone is going to be able to get through. here are some ideas:

KEY:
Quote:
Key Square precinct arguably has the greatest responsibility of any in the city. Protecting government buildings and officials from potential attacks, protests and security breaches..............Key Square activity is heavily biased towards the daytime, allowing officers and support staff to work with other precincts where nocturnal demand is higher.

ok so we can assume after 6.30 police resources will be moved out of the Key area....if we claim there is a lot of activity here the police will be forced to divert attention back here.

MOBIUS:
Quote:
The area's young demographic profile ensures a significant number of sexual and violent crimes, particularly with relation to alcohol or excessive competition in the district's many puzzle bars.

It's time to turn Mobius into Essex on a Friday night......on a Tuesday! speaking from experience lots of domestic disputes between sharon and dave will waste lots of police time as sharon cries and dave shouts "I LOVE YOU SHARON!" plus lots of punch ups.

ALCHEMY:
Quote:
Alchemy Beach remains a magnet for sun worshippers and wave riders, who in turn attract key thieves and opportunists.

forget key snatchers.....Jaws is in town......call up and say several people have been munched on by a large shark...tell the police to bring guns and gas canisters!

POLYGON:
Quote:
Polygon Park is a highly active area for illegal practices. At night, the paths and trails around the park become a gauntlet for unwary pedestrians seeking a shortcut to or from the Old Town. With minimal electronic surveillance, patrolling the park can be one of the most hazardous assignments in the city.

you know that film "The Warriors"?....lets recreate that in polygon park....its all out gang warfare with bins being pushed over and people walking on the grass...tell the police to release Malcolm and Spencer Kaplan...or else!

AMANDIER:
Quote:
Covering the district now known as the Artists' Quarter, Amandier precinct faces all the problems associated with any low-income area.

Even the problem of a Michael Myers style serial killer! oh yes...its time to tell the police that a masked giant is slashing up the teenage population of the AQ...throw in some prowling and a few knock and runs and the police will be rather busy!

OLD TOWN:
Quote:
The twin precincts at Coldsea and Caldera have taken a firm grip on the area, minimising homicides and keeping violent crime under control.

The cops will be expecting trouble here....so lets give it to them! use your imagination and any episode of "Cops" you may have seen. mugging, murder, cock fighting and the use of "naughty" words will have PXC's finest filling out more forms than usual.

Dont forget to chuck in some familar names: Hubert Ling, Susi Quant, Alan ('Al') Mascovicz and Juniper 'Nipper' Onego for extra effect!

happy dialing!

Small Geezer, you beat me to it. I'll still quote what Anna said:

Quote:
Fleming says that if someone -- or many, many someones -- were to report ongoing crimes in every police district in the city at the same time the show were going on, it is likely that the police would activate the volunteer forces. If the situation appeared bad enough, the police would then go into "Emergency Scenario 205-Z," which gives the volunteer forces temporary full access to the police network.

and she added that
Quote:
Fleming assures me that with police crawling all over the city checking out falsely reported crimes, there is little chance that a real crime could be carried out successfully

I sure hope so.

Continuing on the idea of looking for addresses outside the map, I also found these for the Amandier district:
- Drake Lane (where Robert Drake was assaulted)
- Hackett Road (from http://www.opendesignagency.com/main.html)

I quite like the idea of a giant ape dangling a screaming woman from the windy peak of ascendancy point. Maybe it would have to be a giant invisible ape as it would a bit obvious that there wasn't a giant ape at the top of Ascendancy Point. Or maybe I could say I met a giant ape holding a screaming woman who voiced the intent to climb ascendancy point and dangle her...

...and breathe
God, my work is boring

Be really careful about putting crimes in Amandier - this is where the concert is, although we don't know the address. What we don't want is for either the concert to get cancelled, or to call attention to the fact that there are loads of hoax calls by saying that something is happening (ie mugging in dark alley), where there are actually loads of RFD fans milling around.

Yeah forgotten Fleming was a part-timer...
ok so no bomb threats good, I think the sightings of the most wanted would be the best way to go especially if we can make it sound believeable instead of just seeing them, we witness them doing something that they are wanted for like Don suggested earlier.

If a number of us are going to report seeing the same criminal, should we decide what they were wearing? If the police ask us to describe them, continuity might be considered a bonus.

Maybe some sightings of missing people as well.

Or would that be too much of a co-incidence?

I don't know, I considered the missing persons path, but thought it might be seen as sick. You know, from the hopeful families perspective...

I'll go with European Chris description, clothes wise. Another thing that the police will follow up on is the grafitti on the walls. There has been a lot of mentions of that in the paper recently, so they would want the perp caught. So maybe some sightings of people spraying on the walls might work too.
