[UPDATE] Anna Heath's Blog 13th March 2006 (Part II)

We're On
Monday, 13th March 2006
I don't even know how to express how I feel right now. I met Kurt after work today, and I think we were both more than a little prickly at first, but I tried to keep my head and lay down my case, and I could tell Kurt was trying to give me a fair hearing. I took out that agenda of Isaac's and showed it to Kurt, and he frowned a bit and admitted it seemed a bit irregular.
Then I relayed to him of some of the wild theories you've been sending me about the mythical Third Power and suggestions that someone had a motivation in not letting Anthony Granier's diary be read, and he frowned a little more. Though I have to say I felt a touch ridiculous spreading such fairy tales around. Still, I could tell I hadn't convinced him, not by a long way.
At last, Kurt started probing for information on Isaac and his work, his life, his comings and goings, anything I could tell him, looking for anything definitive. And it was such an offhand remark that turned the tide. I mentioned Isaac's cleaners to Kurt, the ones that always come round on Thursday afternoons, and he looked at me sharply. "Cleaners?" he said. "And they came every week?"
Yes, I told Kurt, for as long as I had known Isaac it had been the case.
He turned a bit pale, then, and leaned back into his chair. "Cymbalisty was discovered dead midday on a Saturday," he said, "and according to the inquest, there were no fingerprints or other evidence showing anybody but him had been on the premises in days."
I blinked a bit, clutching my cup of coffee, and wondered why I hadn't seen it before. "So what happened to the evidence that the cleaners had been there?" I asked.
Kurt's mouth narrowed into a very stern line. "You've made your case, Anna," he said. "I'm your man."
He tells me to tell you that he'll be setting everything up overnight and leaving you the information you need to help temporarily overload the police system. Thank you, all of you, and if I don't get another chance to write beforehand... good luck.

Oooh, excitement.
First:

Rowr and indeed gah, has Kurt been watching Arnie films?!
Second:
Plan plan plan? The police will already be stretched by the RFD concert. We need to be co-ordinated and sneeky. Send them all over the city, but to plausible events that will keep them there for a while...
Finally:
Who's going to be about tomorrow? Any amazing ideas?

That's good! But I'm looking for something more along the lines of a huge blush, tongue hanging out, and eyes drooping dreamily.
Or I could just change my sig to say "Mokey McAllister, No.1 Kurt Fangirl".

How about something like this? -->
All minus the blushing.
Or this -->
For something slightly less subtle!!
Now on a more On Topic note, (although what could be more relevant than teh Kurt Love I don't know!)
On the PXCPD website it lists some of the common crimes in particular areas of the city. It might be a good idea to use some of these as they will be things they might expect to happen.
Also I think we should have a thread specifically for what has been phoned in, listing locations, times and events. Also an important detail: if the police seemed to believe the story or not and what they plan to do about it.
If this is kept up to date it will stop too many duplicate calls to the same places or too many similar events. Whilst obviously not trying to stop anyone phoning in with their ideas, I feel that some degree of coordination would be a good idea. On that note the irc chat room would be a useful realtime coordination tool.
Just a couple of ideas, feel free to comment.

He often chased the cleaners away though, or so she said.
That evidence means nothing.
P.S.: DON'T TELL KURT!

The Gibbet is on a roll, this is indeed a most excellent plan

From the Sentinel ticket seekers have been told not to show up before 4.30 GMT, concert is due to start at 6.30 GMT, and last for one hour.
Do we start at 4.30 to give us extra disruption time?
EDIT: Do we want to split up into teams each concentrating on an area, so that we get a reasonable disruption in all areas?
OOOH plotting! What fun.

I think its agreat idea to keep track of our stories, but I'm not sure that we need to keep it to unique phone calls. My understanding of police operations is that an event becomes more serious as more people report it. It might be a hoax if some guy on his mobile phones it in, but if that is corroborated by the old lady in her house and the loner on the 5th floor then it seems far more convincing.

I would agree with that, and think that if we start phoning about 5.30 or thereabouts, then we can get done before the police migh tbe needed at the concert. Then we are not interfering with the stuff they are supposed to do for real.

Boss: Who are you speaking to Chris?
Me: Erm....A tax partner at KPMG.....come quickly, he's bitten his ear .

I'll be around from around 17:30, so I guess I'll see you in the chat room and see if there's anything I can do?
Just a minor note, on earth the emergency numbers log your phone number, how is Kurt going to disguise where the calls are coming from or do their 'mobile' numbers also start with 07, so we'll belnd in if we use mobiles? Surely land lines would give us away?

thinking of the man power they would need to apprehend certain wanted individuals - would it not be a good idea to use one of the most wanted. Im thnking of the drug guy - you have a know location of regular activity and the like and if he is that important they wouldnt send just a squad car surely.

Okay so he rarely ventures out but he might be a RFD fan!
