[SPEC] Portals/Transportation (3P on Earth.)

I think something we've neglected to think much about is the fact that the 3P are HERE.
The event with the double-agent escaping via helicopter seems to have proved that.
AND, if they can get here from PXC, it seems logical that they can get BACK from Earth, so maybe there is a way to return the cube.
Do Sente, Kurt, Violet, Scarlett, etc. even know that the 3P have discovered how to travel between PXC and Earth?

I don't think it's the same people as in Perplex City, I think it's representatives, or maybe even just people paid to do 3P's work.

Remember, data is still transferrable...

Mind you, there has to be a way of getting abck and forth, otherwise, we wouldn't have the cube.

So, in conclusion, it's possible that you're either right or wrong...

I don't think the Third Power on Earth are merely being payed. Reading their emails seemed to indicate they all knew each other, and there seemed to be strong knowledge of Perplex City. I took the opinion that when they said "New York in position" and such, they were confirming that their teleportation method had been succesful.

Or that the network of spies, terrorists etc in that area was up and running. (remember we think they have access to WMD capable of wiping out a few city blocks in one shot)

I think you're referring to the Groupware conversation where someone says: "Will it work? Undoubtedly! Will it proceed to raze everything within a 12-block radius? Quite possible. You don't anticipate that will be a problem, do you?" I took that mean that destroying city blocks was definitely not the objective, but that it was a possible side-effect of a never before attempted experiment involving the Cube. "But the package, as you well know, is a block of an entirely different mettle, in a manner of speaking."

Edit: And weefz, worry not, for you are doing a bang-up job.

When we hacked in the internal 3P system after the 1st live event last year. It was a series of emails between the various operatives on Earth including V. (we think he was/is on Earth) They mentioned being in position as Ryandrew mentioned but also contingency plans, in case the main one went wrong, which involved some fairly nasty sounding WMD. I think it was 10 city blocks this thing could wipe out. (Were assuming the main plan was keeping the cube hidden for whatever reason)

Edit: Guy's description is a bit more accurate!

Wait... Reynolds Ionizers and Klebold plates.

Is it possible to de-ionize matter? other than the whole, swapping of one Ion for another?

I guess you could..I mean a star is mostly ionized gas which is matter. I dunno if it can be done to "solid" matter like people. the bonds may be too strong without the intense heat of the sun to help strip them away.

Depends what a Reynolds Ioniser does, I dont think we ever really found out, just they went missing. It could charge the matter enough to start stripping away ions from a solid body. But then effectively were going down "phaser" routes with this. Very Happy

General Ionizing of stuff... http://wiki.incognitus.net/ppc/index.php/Reynolds_Ionizer

So I was thinking, maybe they Ionised it and used the klebold plates to map out some kind of course, somehow send the cube to earth in an ionised form, where it was collected somewhere and re-formed.

Does bring up the question as to why it's burried tho, If they can move it across the cosmos, why do they need to dig a hole in the ground to hide it? Confused
