"The Receda Cube: Mysteries of its Origin"

Anyone know what this is (no, I'm not stupid - I know what the Receda Cube is)? I assume it's a book in the PXC library. I ask because one of the barcodes on #077 references it. Does that mean something to anyone? I have added some thoughts on the #077 page. Can't find anything on the wiki or through Google with that name . . .

I assume you are referring to this yeah...

[edit]
I'm afraid I have to own up to writing that entry...
I'm suprised it took so long for someone to come across it Laughing

I wrote it at the time when we first found the barcode and I was searching for it on the UPC database. I saw there was no entry for it so I made one up, in the hope of generating some interest from random people coming across it thinking 'what the hell is a Receda Cube?'.

That's just wrong

I don't know whether to be choked about this or not. It's supposed to be a puzzle game - making up clues and inserting them into the milieu for your own amusement isn't really helpful. It's a little hard to sort out what's important when people are planting fake clues, don't you think? Then again, no harm done, I suppose, since it was only my time, and not much of it, that was wasted. At least you owned up to this before alienating the whole community with your wild goose chase. BTW - when the next person does something like this and doesn't confess, wasting everyone's time for his amusement, you can take the credit for being the trailblazer.

On another note, I kinda think it's cool that I'm the first to notice this, even it it wasn't there all along Wink

Oh, well

Indeed, Matman did post about this before me (thanks for finding that) but surely the hideous and largely unread official forums don't count Smile I'll take credit for posting about this more effectively instead - sad, I know - I'm a whore for attention :-0

Consider my eyebrows almost imperceptibly raised.

EG: Good catch and a fair comeback. SD: Bad form, my friend.

Is there something that we could use in the Academy Library webform, on http://www.perplexcityacademy.com/?

Crane, (unless I misundestand your post) this lead is dead. Another player (Sansuntisi Davit) fabricated the UPC database entry. There is no book called "The Receda Cube: Mysteries of its Origin."

And unfortunately, the PXC Library site remains hard-coded in such a way that it can't provide any information (i.e. anything you enter into those fields generates the auto-response).
