Instructions available

Not sure if this is new or not. They've got instructions for trip 1 now.

it's not new, it's one of the 'book' pdf's that's been hanging around for a week, now all the other pdf's and diagrams have disappeared from the 'trips' page once again (no doubt something different will be back soon! *sigh*) and there's a new link on the 'info' page directing to download these so called 'instructions' after ordering your 'trip'.

following this since the beginning I can't help feeling disappointed that something that started out so seemingly organised now seems to be completely random, maybe there still is a reasoning behind it all, but to me it seems like he/they can't make his/their mind up what to keep on the site and what information is important. why was there a forum, then not, then again for a few days, now not again? if it wasn't for this forum, there would be no information or theories for newcomers to ponder atall, which kinda throws the game theory out the window really.

If it is a game, it's been planned badly as people seem to be bored of the 'lack of direction' already.
I hope it is some kind of game and i'm wrong, but at the moment I can't help believing it's someones personal beliefs/rantings made public for self satisfaction. very 'cultish'

on a good point, at least it brought me to these forums and introduced me to a way of gaming I didn't know existed, for that i'm happy! Smile

Man, I certainly woulda put "instructions" in quotes there.

I don't think it's a game anymore. If it is, it's run by Andy Kaufman.

I have to agree with what most of you are saying here. Ever since the RK site started going through it's turbulent, chaotic change-o-rama, my feelings on this whole thing have started to change. And all these pseudo-spiritual crypto-jargon pdf's are hammering the point home even faster:

This isn't as much fun as it used to be.

Sure, I bought a trip, and I don't regret it. I mean, just as a physical product, the package itself is kinda cool, and well made. But what started out as this weird, interesting new thing is getting all serious and heavy, and.....well, as weird as it sounds, I'm almost getting.....scared of it. A bit.
If it gets too much more quasi-new-age religious, I'm out. I don't want anything to do with that kind of thing.
But I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. i'll stick with it for now. I'll wait, and watch, and see what happens.

Man, what I wouldn't give for LJ to still be going.......

Guys, you know most the artwork at rk is for the rk guys, thats what they have figured out, what makes logic for them and from their instructions.

What have you figured out today? Cool

From RedKore Info Page:

it is important to remember that the ideas presented in this section do not suggest the "right" way to explore a trip. they simply reveal some of our responses to the guiding shape's energy as we developed the trip.

for example, if a red kore developer is inclined towards "spiritual" matters, perhaps some of this material will reveal how he or she interpreted the guiding shape's energy in a "spiritual" fashion. this certainly doesn't mean that you need to.

if we include an idea which you feel would be a helpful starting point for your own explorations of a trip, by all means use the idea. but you won't miss a thing if you choose to ignore some or all of the content in the trips section.

on a related note, if you respond in a "negative" fashion to some of the ideas, this needn't disturb your own explorations of a trip. we are all unique, we will all respond to the trips in different ways. hopefully we can be accepting of each other's responses.
