Extending their policy therefore:
If they were in control of all London councils then they would close all
major roads in and out of London.
I can't see many people objecting to that!

Wrong Andrew! But thanks for the best wishes.
I'm Andy Darley - general election candidate in 2001, five-time council candidate (four losses and a fifth to come tomorrow) and - rather embarrassingly - a "blogger for Ming" in the leadership election.
I have sent Andrew a link to pxc.com but he says he's too busy to look at the moment - something about an election, I think he said...

How did you get on?
Did you get a picture with your Leitmark on?

Well, I'd deliberately picked the ward I stood in so as to have no chance of winning as I'm likely to move house during the four-year term of office. I wasn't entirely surprised therefore to finish last but one! Result is here.
Of the candidates I was designing, sub-editing or writing literature for, two got in (including the other Andrew). I spent a happy hour sat outside a polling station explaining Perplex City to a Tory candidate, who said he couldn't see the economic benefit to me in playing given that the chances of winning were so slim. Just when I finished explaining, Kurt's first text came in.
Didn't get a photo on the night but got this the next day:
I need to start going to the gym again...

That leitmark looks remarkably purple...

It's the orange one by the looks of it, from the pattern on the top

Don't worry Ollie - it's good old Liberal Party orange, as promised (our Lib Dem yellow one didn't arrive until the day after the poll).

Speakin' of leitmarks, has anyone in the US earned them but not received them yet?
I ask because I've earned the red and orange ones (red early April, orange April 30) - and here it is May 10, and no sign of them as yet.

It definitely takes a while. The last one I received was mailed on the first week of the month and then tack on about a week and a half through the mail(and I live on the East coast!). If all else fails just let them know. Mind Candy has been nothing but fantastic with all my questions and gripes. I think logistics is really the only thing that hurts Perplex City in the States.

I got my shinyred yesterday in the mail, and I'm in Australia - so I'd say just keep an eye out for it. It'll turn up.
P.S. Going to be wearing said red to work and uni today. All I need are some posters to put up and I'll be a regular sellout. (Joking, promise. Honest. Why do I say these things?)

Okay, guys, it's been about two weeks and still no sign of mine, so I'm going to email Mind Candy and see about tracking them down.
(With my luck, they're out in West Katmandu! )

I received my Red two days ago. I earned them the mid April. I'm in the USA, specifically Cincinnati, OH. The padded envelope that my leitmark and Sente thanks card came in said that it either arrived at Customs on May 9th or it was sent by Royal Mail on May 9th. I can't tell. I don't have the envelope anymore because my mom threw it out. However, I know that it took from 5/9/06 (Using American date style mm/dd/yy) to 5/15/06 to get to my house.
It says on the website that they send them out at the end of the month. As for seeing leitmarks, none yet. Then again, I don't wear mine. However, I am going to consider wearing my leitmark. I rarely go to main campus but what's it going to hurt if I start wearing it on my hat. Someone might notice it. I do go to the library occasionally and am considering seeding the books and stuff with a few reds and oranges. I'll definitely wear my red one that day.
As for out, there is one time that I am definitely going to wear one, KoLCon III. It'll definitely mark me as a PXC player to at least 3 people.

I'm in the UK and still havent received the red or orange ones I qualified for before the end of last month. Just qualified for a yellow one so I'll see what turns up at the end of this month before I email them.
