[New York City area] Get together in early June One of our regular New York City unfiction crew will be packing his bags and moving West to the promised land of Washington or Oregon or some place like that.
He is leaving in early July; so I thought early June would be a good time for us to plan a party. Iwas thinking maybe June 10th but I can make any Saturday in June would work for me.
I am open to suggestions.
Thanks to the generousity of 4orty2wo, we have a good number of poker chips from the New York graveyard games there is any interest in another game of Tombstone Hold 'Em. I think the cemetery we used before would agree to our playing a game there, but it is a bit of a long ride out of the city.
Also, I would be glad to do any in person PPC card trading that can be done.
And we, of course, will include eating, drinking and fun.
The Korean Barbeque that jamesi found for ARGFest is a great location for a dinner- although we do have unlimited choices so we can go for something else too. Maybe we do need some variety.
please post ideas or comments in this thread. we have plenty of time to figure out something really great.

Can only do later on June 10th, like after 6pm.
I know this great place on W. 181st St.

I'll only go if it involves heavy drinking and compromising photos of said departing member. You know you want it.

Who's leaving? Is it Anthrax? Omnie? Wait, it's me, isn't it? If we go to the Korean BBQ, am I going to end up under a silver serving dish? HA! The old chop him up and make a gui out of him trick, eh? Not gonna fall for that one!

Joe are you leaving too? I thought it was someone else who is so mysterious and secretive that I didn't want to name the name.
You have to be there joe so we can film you playing "Burning Down the House" to release to the world via internet.
Gupfee, if you can make it we (read "I") will find a place for you.

Heh, just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get me!
I'm the one leaving, for those wondering. June 10th sounds good to me! Par-tay! Woo.

Why are you leaving, and where are you going, and what are you going to do there, and will things ever be the same after this, and what's the opposite of mayonnaise?

So, uh, any chance of a change to a non-tenth day? I'm just busy on the tenth and Memorial Day weekend.

date change to June 17? Hey guys. I have something come up at work that could conflict with getting together this Saturday. Can we make this the following Saturday?
This way EGo can be there too.
If the following Saturday can't work for joe or bagsbee or omnie or anthrax, then I will decline the work and meet you all instead!
Also, I think that between the two of us bagsbee and I have everyone's cell numbers.
If there is anyone who wants to join in, just post here and message me on the board with your cell number. The more the merrier.
Gift suggestions would be helpful too!

We said Bon Voyage to Anthrax for about 5 hours over beer, soda and popcorn and hotdogs. Yeah, it was like that. Bagsbee had an interesting experience. EGo and Anthrax were a bit distressed about leaving an unfinished pitcher behind. But it was that or miss the last bus home for EGo and Ikkarus.
Best of luck Anthrax101 and keep in touch.
Notice to Seattle/ Portland people: Anthrax101 will be moving into your area soonish. Time to start firing up the Welcome Wagon.

I'm...stunned. Bags, why didn't you do anything about this? Shocked. The beer gods will surely punish you for this.
