I'm right behind J on this one. I'm decidedly unhappy about not being able to buy wave 3 only packs and seriously resent being 'punished' for getting into the game earlier.
I have collected and traded other things in the past, and I've never had to deal with a staggered release schedule before. To be honest, I'd be ok with every pack potentially having any of the 256 cards, thats not where the problem lies.
That being said, I'm containing my ire until I know what the release schedule is. It upsets me that Everyone Else will see the cards before me, but I'm not prepared to shell out the cash required, I already have too many doubles already

I've ordered my wave 3 cards from www.zonzab.co.uk, and I spoke to the owner of the site and he confirmed the wave 3 booster packs would contain 6 wave 3 cards.
They are available from the 6th April - I can't wait!!

Bonz, whilst I don't wish to cast aspersions upon your supplier or the info provided, I would suggest that it's likely that he/she has been mis-informed. Or possibly has been told "Yep, they're Wave 3. Definitely Wave 3." and Wave 3 will actually consist of *packs* which contain a mixture of Wave 1/2/3 cards. It's a small distinction, but an important one.
Don't mean to nitpick, but I wouldn't want anyone to order and be disappointed - that aside, I've not seen that site before now, and it's darned cheap...have you used them before/can you recommend them?

The ZonZab site also lists: 'Perplex City Starter Kit Number 2'
Which seems to be similar to the first, except:
There is no Leitmark
It is only £15
There are only two packs of cards (no mention what wave)
And there is a Sticker Sheet (containing 10 stickers showing some of the city's people and places)
If the listing is accurate,
Then the starter pack Leitmark is limited edition as mentioned on Firebox,
and is probably no longer being produced.

I've not used them before but my friend has and he says they're good, so fingers crossed and i'll keep you posted

I emailed Zonzab to enquire about overseas delivery (before they updated the website) and also asked about the Wave 3 cards.
He said:
Quote:
Wave 3 contains Wave 3 cards - there seams to be a rumour around that they contain previous cards, this is BS.
I don't know about everyone, but I'd take a comment in the Sentinel a little more seriously than a rumour.
Anyway, I think 15 quid postage to Australia is way too much. I might buy a single pack from an Aussie retailer (if they think it is Wave 3 only) before importing a bunch of packets (which is waaay cheaper than buying locally - even including postage).

totally agree Ambskunk.... postage from some places in the UK is a ripoff.
One site quoted 3 times the cost of the packets to post to Brisbane.

I have just seen some Wave three boxes and packs!!!!
But Forbidden Planet, (perhaps ironically?)
are forbidden from selling them until tomorrow.
They said they are under 'strict instructions'
I guess all shops will be in the same situation.

I think I'll be resorting to eBay for a while. Having just placed an order last week and realizing...
22.85 British pounds = 39.75900 U.S. dollars
When I start getting too many duplicates, I'm probably going to hold off on buying packs of cards until I try other routes of obtaining them and only buy them in packs as a last resort.

Just so everybody knows, people have started to solve cards today. They seem to be retailers. Shame, ruined it really. Mind Candy don't even have the card images up yet.

Oh calm yourself down, have some chewable Prozac. The game was hardly 'ruined' when you solved some cards before everyone else-it really isn't the end of the world.

I just noticed that, and was about to mention it.
It's very dissapointing, especially as MC were so clear to the retailers
Oh well, lets hope they're not all solved by the time the 'just wave 3' packs
have all arrived.

I joined on between waves so I'm not sure how the rollout works. Aren't solves allowed only after certain dates/times for some cards?
