I think you need to log in first? Make sure the training page is showing as you and what you've completed. If not, they may just be processing your order still.

Hmm. Puzzlewise, 1/3 and 0/3 makes me think there are three answers to each question...

EDIT: Warning, guys, don't try entering random numbers. They only allow you one guess a day, it would've been nice if they'd made that explicit. Mad

EDIT Jr.: If you pay to be a Wakeful Agent you get access to all of the cases as far as I know. At least that's all I paid for.

Yeah, I logged in on the training page right away. This really sucks. I was all excited about this and am running to the computer labs between classes. Of course, with my luck, I always get screwed over with everything I do.

Well don't get all emo about it. Smile Just write tech support. And help solve the puzzle in the meantime, I posted everything they gave us.

Alright, let's see. I'll do some research real quick on what they gave you. Of course, I won't find anything... but I'll look.

I got one part. Jurgis is the character in a book called The Jungle.

http://www.freeessays.cc/db/10/bwa81.shtml

He's an immigrant who can't find work in America... how topical for today.

[edit]Oh, and the text is from chapter 27. http://xroads.virginia.edu/~hyper/SINCLAIR/ch27.html That could be one of the numbers.

I tried 27/4 for chapter/paragraph.

Guess I'll have to wait for my answer

Here's hoping that works, I didn't even consider that it might be book-based. But I'm wondering why they say 'poison' and 'parasites', then. And how that first passage relates, because I can't tell what book it's from.

Remember, one of Kevin's answers was correct. So either "How much poison" is 6, or "How many parasites" is 1.

apparently, you need to pay to get to the current puzzle. There is still a forum for other people to contribute (but they're just google'ing the missing person so far).

After rereading it 4 times, it actually looks like the Poison question was 1/3 right, and the parasites was 0/3.

I, in the meantime, found the text here http://www.pagebypagebooks.com/Upton_Sinclair/The_Jungle/Chapter_27_p2.html

Seems to be the first paragraph in the chapter on that page. So I put in 27 and 2 in the respective fields.

Let's compare notes tomorrow. I'm also of a mind to think that since we're dealing with compound answers. It's possible that this thing may also require us to give answers correctly three days in a row. Still. That sounds somewhat counter-intuitive.

I have no idea what the 3 means, since there were only two questions. But in binary, 1=yes and 0=no. So, I think you are right, the correct guess that Kevin made was in fact in response to the poison question.

I hope so, because I got 6 & 9 by converting the letters to ASCII numbers, then reducing them to a single digit like you would do in numerology.

Well, this is just great. I can't log in at all anymore. They said that they fixed it for me, but it's like I've downgraded. Sad

Easy, bud. Easy. I'm sure once you let them know that things are a bit... funky, they'll hop in to help. *smiles* No worries.

I don't know what happened, but I got the password reset, so it's all good now. Where are we supposed to submit our answers to?
