Hi me again, i found a great site which identifies songs via tapping your spacebar,
http://www.songtapper.com/s/tappingmain.bin
I tried it and came up with:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Blue Danube by Strauss
Further Googling came up with:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Blue Danube Waltz (Which would tie in with the card title)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Here is a page on the wiki about the blue danube by strauss it seems like it has been used in alot of films http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blue_Danube
Maybe the IMDB will help that will be one of my posts of call
Im going to look a little further into this as i think i maybe onto something (Or maybe its my blondness but never the less i will give it a go)
I cant enter any answers in at the moment though as my card is locked
The lines im thinking around is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Blue Danube
On the Beautiful Blue Danube - The Songs full title
Johann Strauss

Glasses/water hard to reproduce and I don't have 12...
Noodled on the piano but produced nothing I recognize. Realized I am probably not recognizing all the changes in water levels in the card.
Back to Tunes n Spoons, got a tune that sounds like nothing I've ever heard. Sigh.
So - please reassure me - those are't chords, right?
Do the colors represent different length notes? (Not that I could reproduce timing - I could never read time and convert to music.)

*edit*
Sorry! I meant...

frere jacques - I haven't tried it, but while it might match the first 8 glasses it doesn't match the last 4.

That feels like a big clue if only I was near a musical instrument. I think when I was learning to sing augmented fifths we used the theme tune of the

simpsons
. In my head the only other tune I can think of is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
maria
but neither fit with the fourth note emphasis. Just off to see an emergency, so will have to see if there's a piano on the ward.

But surely not using all those semitones...and it seems more of a limitation of the technology (glass/water) than a kloo, I suppose.
Somehow I suspect I'm not going to know the tune when it's found...

Got it at last!
Nearly wore out a set of strings - the order of the glasses clue was the key.
Thanks doublecross - just enough clue without giving it away.
