Well, I texted them and the reply I got was, "It's all in the eyes". If you stare at it and roate it the "bowling balls" move, I guess you have to align them to make out a word........it hurts my eyes to try make out anything though lol.

Okay, I have tried all of the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
UV light.

Shining a bright light through the card (it's translucent if you do, but there's nothing nice inside the actual card.)

Inverting the image and overlaying it on itself with rotations and straight inversions. I got evil skeleton mickey mouse.

I've tried indexing the faces by which way they're looking, and by how many rings they have. The pattern isn't interesting. I got a very pretty felt-tip pen picture.

I've tried assuming the faces are looking at things. one thing I noticed is that nearly every face is looking at another, and if you squint a bit, most are staring at each other in pairs. I eliminated all the ones that were, and looked at the pattern left by the ones left over. Nothing recoqnisable. Maybe it's a PXC constellation or something.

I tried tracing the lines of sight by various definitions of what that is, until they hit another face, then I shaded the area enclosed by these lines. It kinda looks like the letter F.

I tried assuming the balls were looking at different ones, and just drew lines of sight on, to see if it'd make an interesting pattern. I got what looked like an octopus and a squid fighting over a game of cat's cradle.

I tried assuming they were looking at stuff, but only extending the lines of sight as far as the edge of the eminations from each one (I reckon this should give something interesting) however, I only got what looked a bit like a naughty word. I repeated it in a paint program, so it was betterer, and got this. http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~dtb26/headrush1.jpg

Running out of ideas here people...

They're laughing at me. I know it. They wants me to fail they do. Then when I'm asleep they will come and eat me with their pointy teeths, yes they will.

Seriously, the little beige one is the scariest. I'm sure he's got the master plan. The others are all covering for him. Especially the dark grey one. He's just trying to get your attention.

??

perhaps the fact that some of the "faces" are printed matte and some are pearl/reflective is a direction to follow...though to where???

i've tried:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
UV light

overlaying molecules of caffeine, nicotine and THC.

looking at groups of balls, isolated by 'direction', number of orbits etc.

joining them up based on colour (red -> orange -> yellow etc)

looking at it from faaar away (based on the puzzle architect's style)

drawing maskerade style lines from 'eyes' through 'nose', resulting in a 45° crisscross explosion. might be a map overlay, but the pxc maps use 30° lines.

drawing maskerade style lines that stop when they encounter another ball.

connecting balls according to the 'orbits'. if you look at the bottom right red one, you can see that only the light-blue on directly above it and the green one at 45° from it are within its orbit. i drew lines from red to blue and red to green hoping for a word or recognisable constellation. naaahthink...

stereogramming it.

holding it against a mirror and stereogramming that.

punching it and calling it names.

Smile

i'm about to try eating the card to see if the resulting ink-based headrush will allow me to see any visions. see you all on the other side...

t.h.a.l.a.m.u.s

y'know, they call 'em fingers but i've never seen 'em fing.

Searched on Google for Headrush and Eyes. Got this page about Sound Samples and Feedback Loops and Strobe Lighting. Maybe this is something to do with colour strobe lights? And music, seeing as the 'bowling balls' are resonating? Using your computers soundcard? If you look at the sound samples they are called Headrush.

Also found a band called Headrush?

Not sure if it helps at all? Means nothing to me.

Will continue the search.
