What? That picture I drew helps? I didn't see anything in it!
ahdok goes back to his own picture to see if he can solve it.

I really hope that isn't it...
EDIT.
AAAAAAARRRRGH! STUPID CARD. AHDOK SMASH. GRAARGHFHARRAHAGRAHAGH.
(translation. Card solved. I can't believe I did the legwork then didn't see the solution facepalmsmack.)
Since it's not in the thread, here's a confirmed solve.

There may be other spellings, but I believe this is the most universally recognised. I'd be interested to see if spelling variations work.

I share your frustration, mate. I drew lines quite early on and then posted here how I couldn't make any sense of them... which is hardly surprising since I was obsessed with the idea of extending them to the edge of the card in the expectation that someone would find a set of Masquerade-style letters around the outside under UV...
Congratulations to the people who saw the solve.

I am contractually obliged to mention that I only solved this due to the intervention of the card's first solver - I didn't actually get the card till this evening. This is a big hint, it will get you to a solution but doesn't mention the answer.

Each head looks diagonally, and is focused on the edge of the largest concentric circle around it. Put dots at these points and see what three shapes you get by joining the dots. To solve, you have to give the name of the shape.
Thanks very much for the help Magma, Grizy & Manley M.

ah. I have PMs waiting for me. They probably sit in your outbox until I pick them up
I still havn't used these boards much. Most messageboards I have used tend to shout at you in giant bright letters when you get a pm.

Yeah I got the same, except mine goes to my Yahoo email account, and with Yahoo Messenger I get an instant taskbar alert when I get emailed.

If you have it set in your profile preferences, you will get a little popup message when you have PMs waiting.

If anyone is taking the answer from here and putting it in, could you try this one first? I'm interested to know if it works.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
just the two characters required to make a happy smiley, a colon and a bracket. (I've written it out in text within this spoiler, because otherwise it'd show up.)

;) cos i wasnt sure that the right eye was a square. i redid the pic with wider lines and it comes out squarer lookin'
:-) cos i thought that maybe there was a 'nose' being spelled out by the lines, even though there didn't really seem to be space for one.
i reckon the correct solve should just be :) - it'd be funnier that way...
