Hmm, they're looking for ONE answer?

Has anyone (I admit, I have not yet looked into this) tried something like the Garden of Eden or the site of the Holy Grail or something? However, that's more religious than mystical, I suppose. Hmm...

Are all those places likely to be subducted?

In which case Hadean type answers would be a possibility I guess.

I thought with it may link with the zodiac what with the preordained and destiny lines and some of the stars maybe linking up with the tropics but could not find any one place which would tie them all together.

Has anyone checked for UV messages etc on this card

Very Happy Hi I'm new to this game and don't have this card , but from what I can see of the location of the star directly under the word "preordained"

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this could be Earth's magnetic north pole , which actually slowly drifts from place to place. it has been onshore on one of Canada's arctic islands for many years but has very recently drifted offshore and will apparently reach Siberia in a few centuries.

probobaly a lot of mathematics and plate tectonics are involved, i think what you have to do, since pangea is expected to reform many times, that somone who knows about the patterns of the continental plates moving could predict that next time when those landmassses are together, that you find out where those 4 marked places are, their coordinates, what special places on earth they must be, where the magnetci poles will be. etc etc etc

btw,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i would try to avoid things like atlantis, king solomons mine, the holy grail, christs resting spot. etc etc etc. Simply because noone knows where that stuff is

Hope this helps

I was thinking about this last night (I don't have broadband at home so I'm having to post from work). What would happen if you took a map of the modern world and a map from the period this card relates to (pangea?), superimposed them and mapped where the stars have travelled. Since you can draw a geodesic through any two points on a sphere, you might find that all four intersect at a unique point.
I realise that the continents don't drift in "straight" lines but it's just an idea, since the someone mentioned that it might be where the points end up in the future.

This seems promising, but
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"great circle"
is a generic term. Is there a specific name for that particular circle from the link? The closest thing I found was
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
great circle alignment of ancient sites

Some of the Great Circle sites look really likely
Certainly Giza and Nazca look about in the right places...maybe Easter Island also...not sure about the top one
Could the answer be something like
http://www.mysterypark.ch/index.php?id=19&L=1
or simply could the 'place' be a book like von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods?
Whatever, this has led me round some fascinating websites! Good card!

Now, here's a really stupidly brilliant thought:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Now, everyone wants to say Atlantis, because they believe those location sank.

Well, what place to sailors go when they drown?

That's right: Davy Jones' Locker.

Probably off by miles, but one guess couldn't hurt in the meantime.
(And stupidly brilliant worked for EGo and me once before in Instruction...)

Wink

They do all seem to be on the coast, other than that, I can't see much in the Atlantis school of thought. looking around the net for references to atlantis, none of these particular locations seem to be in the theories for where it might be... although I have found some rather stupid ones. Here's a quote

"An Exploded Planet

This is probably one of the most controversial theories about the location of Atlantis - outer space. Alan Alford makes the case that Atlantis was not an island, continent or any other terrestrial landform, but a planet circling our sun. Alford goes back to Atlantis's Egyptian roots ... his interpretation of Egyptian legends to include a neighbor planet that blew up in some ancient era. This doomed planet may have been, in fact, the home of the technologically advanced Atlanteans. "This example of Atlantis," Alford writes, "illustrates how the implications of an exploded planet cult in ancient Egypt extend well beyond the boundaries of Egyptology itself, leading to a radical reappraisal of the so-called 'gods,' which came down from heaven to Earth. The identification of these gods ... inevitably begs the question of whether God, the son of God and the angels of God are also echoes of this ancient and profound inter-planetary creation cult."

Oh dear.

this is probably a very stupid question but is the sea represented by the tan colour or the darker colour?
