For the board members (like me) who are still going at it.

Possibly, as a spark from the last clue:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Trace an X over the four points after they shift to today, name the center? Or trace the center of the current X?


Don't have the card, don't have a clue, but if EG's inference about the last given hint is right, then we might have done it.

Unfortunately, if I'm picking the present locations correctly (which I may not be, as the one at the top seems to have a wide range of where it could end up):

they don't cross. Regardless of how you pair them up. You could extend one of the lines until it crosses the other one, but, which line?


And for the record, it's not

The library at Alexandria, Luxor, or Rome. I have a good feeling about Rome, though, maybe it just needs narrowed down more. It appears that you could get a crossing in that vicinity by extenting the S.A. - Africa line out, if the northern star is around south-central Greenland.


Here's crossing my fingers for 24 hours from now...

This website has a good picture on it that shows that "The Pyramid lies in the center of gravity of the continents. It also lies in the exact center of all the land area of the world, dividing the earth's land mass into approximately equal quarters." This may be the way they were looking for the solve rather than the Gaea, mapping shape type way, who knows.

Thats is a very interesting website, and has educated me on the background of the answer. I now think that the we didn't solve it correctly, based on a particular image on the page. (I'll not say which one, in case I make it too obvious)

Just got to wait til the morning now. Do you think they were being really clever, cos the website shows that the card makes sense in terms of geography, astrology and geometry, or am I drawing 2 too many inferences? I agree that the geographical image now seems the most likely source given the website.

 		well, if they were basing it on that link, its not really that clever, since there really is NO center on the surface of a sphere. The best argument they could give is that its the center of the map.

 		Okay, taking a brief break, finally got it though only from the huge number of hints. What I don't get is:

Shouldn't there be FIVE vertices? I would expect one on Japan or one in the Southern Indian Ocean for it to be right...
