Email Phyllis' Phlite to Phairyland

Dear Sunny,

I had a dream last night that was so very real I think I need to share it with everyone I know. All of my senses were active and filled with sights, sounds, tastes, even the touch of a breeze on my skin. It was all so vivid and real that this morning I almost feel like I was transported somewhere by fairies and then tucked back into my bed. I say this metaphorically, of course, but it *feels* that way.

I am standing in the center of a circle of stones. It is sunset and I turn my face toward the end of day. Something, something to the left, catches my eye. There is something there, reflecting the sunset through the bushes. I walk outside of the stone circle. I see a brick wall but I go to the bushes before I get to it. I crouch down. There is definitely something there and I'm reaching for it ---

Then, I woke up. I can't explain it but this dream has filled me with hope,
with a kind of eager expectation. It feels like something good is finally
coming my way, a wondrous surprise. What do you think of that?!

Yours,
Phyllis

Well I wonder what is going to happen tonight to you. Is there some way that you can document the goings on in your home? That would be interesting to see. Now we told know that the disc attracts the dead eyes. I am wondering if maybe there might be some piece that is still around your place attracting these deadeyes. Yes I have a deep belief in God as well and when I was askin you about your belief in supernatural occurances it didnt ring true and I figured that I misunderstood. I am wondering why those mischievieous trouble makers are being so active now at this time. Is there any major anniversery coming up of something? Say an accident or something? They sure are trying to get our attention! Some think that Sarah could have made the disc. Do you think it looks like her style? Speaking of art may I ask what the painting looked like that was stolen from you? I understand if it is too painful to talk about.
Well steer clear of those spiteful spirits!
fondly

Interesting

Am I the only one who thinks that this is some clue to finding the disc? Seems that we should be looking in some bushes in front of a brick wall outside the ring of stones!

If I'm being totally insane, just ignore me, but that popped right out at me this morning. Smile KyraB

SPEC: better directions at Rolla

It has been specc'e delsewhere that the stone circle is the replica at UM Rolla. Given Phyllis' dream,
Quote:
It is sunset and I turn my face toward the end of day. Something, something to the left, catches my eye

the disc, or some other object, should be at a brick wall to the south or southwest of the ring.
We have anyone heading there yet?

Email Phyllis Chat about the dream

Quote:

My dear Dr. Amaal,

How incredibly insightful you are? A great many things about Wes Keeler's red disc have been told to me recently by another one of my email correspondents. She even sent me an image of it. So, I have indeed been thinking about it quite a bit. It was, perhaps, even my last conscious thought of the day before sliding into slumber.

However, I was told that it caused insanity and suicide. So, if I did indeed have a vision about it, how could I possibly be filled with joy when I
reached for it? How very odd. But, you have prompted me to realize that Mr. Keeler did not become more eccentric than he already was when he possessed it. So, it may be that the disc mirrors or amplifies or in some way draws its effect from the
essence of its owner. I would think that if Mr. Keeler felt joy in its possession, he would not have sold it. Ah, well, another mystery to mull over...

I should tell you that I have been afflicted lately by a miscellany of classic poltergeist activity in my home. It was terribly frightening when it only
seemed to be happening to me. But, my husband has also been its victim and I am certain it has manifested in the Library as well. Today, however -- since I had the dream -- I haven't encountered any of the dreadful cold spots. Lights continue going on and off on their own as well as unexplained thumps and maddeningly misplaced objects. But, on the whole, I find none of that bothers me as much as the cold. I am feeling so cheerful and optimistic today that the cold spots may even be avoiding me!

When you think about all the mysterious things that have been occurring in and around Aglaura one might logically wonder if our town sits upon one of those
massive intersections of ley lines like the ones that Carnac and Stonehenge are said to be built upon. In my youth, I spent a summer with my mother's
sister and we tramped all over the British Isles investigating megalithic sites.
Aunt Trudy was a Theosophist and an unrepentant non-conformist. She was the "black sheep" of our rather conservative family but I thought she was great fun.
Oh my, I haven't thought of Trudy in years! Too bad she has passed on because she would surely know how to drive this psychic disruption from my home! I may
just go down to Keeler's Emporium and see if that "gothic" girl who works for him has any ideas. I am so happy today I don't think I'll even care what anyone thinks when they see me going in there.

Sincerely,
Phyllis

I dunno, dmax. What do you think is going on? It's fitting in with my ideas. What seems out of line to you?

Hmmm....

Could the girl (I can't remember what Wes and Sam have called her) be Sarah? Maybe we are overlooking the obvious? Just a thought.

two simple requests -

(1) Now that it seems reasonable that these folks are dealing with housewights, could someone who knows Phyllis drop her a pleasant note suggesting that housewights like food, and she can use that to stay on their good side?

references:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10832#10832
and http://www.ealdriht.org/glossary.html

(2)And, can I make a simple request that we put all Phyllis's (or anyone's) contact in the same topic header? It's impossible to follow, coherently, multiple Phyllis topics and understand their proper order or know where to speculate on what's going on with her in a focused way.

I tried to do that with Kendra - as you might see, the whole topic is a (more or less) linear collection of what she's said when, so that we can get to it easily. I'm getting frustrated with trying to understand other characters' roles when their "data" is scattered all over the board. I bet whoever is tryin to maintain a trail would find it easier to keep track, too.

If she is, then Wes has a lot of explaining to do. Afterall, he claims that he only met Sarah when she sold him and his wife that small statue, after which she disappeared.

Plus girl might not be the right word. Unless we're talking temporal travel as opposed to dimensional travel, as we've seen thus far, then Sarah would be 25. Bit old for the tag girl, wouldn't you say?? Woman would be the proper term, I think..
