 		I don't have a subscription - but it does make it's way into the office.

Haven't thought of it as a 'political' magazine - but then I don't read it!

The office have a great "Death of the Week" competition trying to guess who will make the Obituary column each week.....

I'd have to agree that this is pretty difficult/unfair if you are in the US and have seen neither magazine nor billboard. I basically have to steal the answer from this thread, as I would have had no hope in knowing the answer.

I'd have to disagree on that point. Yes, it may be a little more obscure in the US, but it's still an international magazine. They used to have copies of it in my high school library, and I've seen it on newsstands. And if you're trying to stay current on international news, you'll run into it sooner or later. So it's specialized knowledge, but most of the cards require that in some form.

Anyway, this was a lot easier for me than the damned Cracked Crackers. M.T.G.G.? W.T.F.?

I have to agree with some of the comments above - I live in Nottingham (hardly the back of beyond) and work in the city centre every day, and can categorically say that neither I, nor my husband have ever seen these ads. I'm actually from the South originally too. I don't read magazines at all really, so don't know the cover of the mag either. Must be hard for those outside the UK to have any idea without looking at great resources like this!

 		Like many trivia questions this depends on what you've been exposed to - this magazine is a common sight on college campuses (esp. those with political science departments), and in bookstores e.g. in the Washington DC area. It's a major periodical in its field and this is a completely fair question even for folks in the US.

 		Just some quick help for people who still might be stuck...

I live in the middle of nowhere in the US, so of course I've never heard of or seen the magazine before. Perplex City being mainly UK based and all, it didn't take much work to google "british magazines" and quickly find what we're looking for.

Just goto one of those cheesy sites that has 50 magazine subscriptions for sale and it's easy to spot out (color and font).

 		Ha. I think this one would have been easier if I hadn't read the forums. I might have googled "british magazines" instead of trying to find info on those billboards that people mentioned. Anyway, the magazine is one that I've heard of, at least, so it is known outside the UK.

 		It's funny how some cards can be an absolute doddle to some, and cause others to rip their hair out. I've never seen the ads (I'm in the Midlands), but the title of the mag was very obvious to me, even though I've never actually bought it. I must spend too much time loitering in newsagents. Wink

 		I think the way to look at this puzzle was to look at magazine banners

My first thought on seeing this was that it was 'Which?' magazine (I tried it) but I subscribe to it and knew that the logo was different so I was looking for matching logos from the start.

I could only think of 'What Car?' but it didn't make sense. The answer came to me early in the morning in bed. I've never read the magazine, don't know it's contents but knew it had a red banner with white lettering in a Times font.

Pure luck! But I could have looked in newsagents.

By the way, I live in the north (Wigan) and we do get this magazine here. Don't read it though.
