Well, the question itself is easy, but finding the labels of all the beers required to work out what the question is in the first place is tougher - for non-alcoholics, anyway Wink (Like me. Of course.)

*snort* That was a joke, right?

Compare it with Vexillogy, which is a purple and a fairly similar task but far, far easier to solve.

I think it deserves to be blue purely for the amount of research you need to do to get all the names. Personally I think Vexillology was a bit too easy to be a purple card, as it is very similar.

I found one site which has the vast majority of these labels on it:

Anyone got an exact picture for the label of:

Erlanger's

because I can't find one exactly the same. It's for my solve album Smile

I went to www.realbeer.com and what should happen to be one of the questions asked....
Quote:
I am hoping you can help me. I have a friend who will be visiting in just a few weeks. He collects beer bottles and has quite a collection. One thing he noted is that he has multiple bottles with names that begin with every letter of the alphabet, with one exception: Q. Do you know of any beers that's names begin with Q and where I might call to procure such a bottle?

From Beer Dave: Q beers have always left collectors in a quandary. The Quandt Brewery of Troy New York closed in 1942 yet you can still find bottles in the Upper Hudson River Valley. The Queen City Brewing Company of Cumberland Maryland used to brew a beer under the name Queens Brau. The brewery closed in 1974. Bottles of this beer can be found at many flea markets throughout the Mid Atlantic region. The Quinte Brewery of Belleville, Ontario, Canada Phone: 613-968-2739 brews a beer known as Quinte Gold.

I though it was a cheeky PC puzzler asking the question but it was dated Nov 1999 - I never knew beer bottle collecting could be so troublesome!

First - this was a quite challenging puzzle to me! I have so far spent at least 5 hours tracking these down - and asked 2 bartenders and a couple big travelers - is this skewed towards English/European beers?

Second - after I ID them all, will it be obvious what to do next? Because frankly, I don't yet see any pattern/message - is it all the first letters or something?

I have not looked at the spoilers above, because I do not want the answer handed to me - I just want a clue to know if my line of thinking is correct.
