[Puzzle] #155 Blue - Sadako Sasaki

In case you can't make it out, the text is backwards, upside down, and possibly in Latin.

Edit - Added the other side of the card.

Is it possible to get a higher-res scan of just the text area... they said we could do that of small areas on the cards, but this is basically the whole thing and... well... it really would be helpful to get a copy we could actually read so we don't have people begging you to transcribe the whole thing.

You mean Sadako of the Thousand Paper Cranes? I adored the book written about her when I was younger....

can we get a better text scan?

Well, here it is rotated and flipped, but I can't make sense of it. Anyone else having any luck with this?

Small little observation here, but there is a scissor logo on the top right - indicating to me that perhaps this is a print out and fold - origami type puzzle. - Sadako Sasaki? sounds like we need to be looking for a folding pattern Very Happy

We really could do with a higher res scan of that text area. There's just too much detail there to make out from this one.

Apart from the Latin (?), it looks like there's some larger black writing that is half cut off around the edges of the square, and what appears to be a faded blue star or something behind the text.

You can open it up in a picture editing program and zoom in on it. Looks like the text repeats at some point, but I haven't looked at it too extensively

i saw that too, and tried to see if i could make it any clearer by editing, but with this quality, its pretty impossible.

I'll give the Latin a closer look, if I can. It definitely *is* Latin by the way, but transcription won't be that easy. I'm wondering if it's actually an extract from something, although, frankly, I guess it's more likely that there's a coded clue in there somewhere.

im looking at the text written around the outside, so far - after some rotating and flipping... I've pieced together two of the sections, and it quite clearly says 'maker' - but the rest doesnt line up fully.

Looking at one of the previous posts.... 'sadako of the thousand paper cranes' = brainstorm. Print that puzzle out, cut the inner square out, and fold it into a Crane.

... i would but my printer is out of ink Very Happy

The Latin is the Lorem ipsum placeholder text. I don't think it needs to be translated (though if you're bored, go read Cicero...)

/me prints out a ridiculously scaled-up version

/me tries to remember how to fold paper cranes

Yes, after folding this blurry image into a crane (with some help from this site) the larger black text definitely lines up along the 'wings' of the crane.

From what I can make out, it seems to say "CLOUD(some other letters)MAKER". The letters in the middle don't seem to line up properly, but might on a higher-res version with better folding.

LMAO @ Cloudmaker Very Happy

... cracks his fingers... of course this has to be referring to EvanChans old boat in the A.I Trail, to which we bizarrely named our group ' The Cloudmakers ' Very Happy

I love ARGs, for they make me humble.

There's instructions on the back of this card for folding a crane. I didn't even notice. Embarassed

Is this one of Aiko's cards? I can't make the signature out.
