Maybe next time Narrator 9 should try not running games during finals month.

it might be possible for us to have one interrogation every evening

I am very sad to say this, but due to lack of communication between jury
members and myself, and over-all apathy, we have decided to get ourselves a
different jury from a different community.
Thanks to those of you who tried to help.

Narrator9.

How do you go from announcing an upswing in the game to cancelling it in the span of 2 days? I don't think the Jury can hardly be blamed for a "lack of communication", we were basically blindly interviewing people on a case that we knew little more than the victims name and occupation.

It's a shame, it really is, I loved this game..

I liked the idea behind the game, but the lack of actual content was a little disheartening.

Now for a little constructive criticism.........
The lack of interest in my mind was due to a lack of character development and story development. I didn't know enough about anyone in the game-verse to care about them. We got a hint of the characters that we interrogated, but not really enough to grab an interest, and a backstory consisting of "this guy was killed, here is a group of suspects, interrogate" is fine for the start of a game, but when that is all that is offered for the entire time we played.........not good.

If you are going to run a game that relys solely on interrraction in a chat room, make sure that it is not in some java-only room that won't let you save the conversations. It was really hard to have to catch-up on a missed interrogation by reading second hand synopsis of the encounter.

The character acting was really not bad, especially if you were doing this solo. My only suggestion would be to not name the main contact "Narrator". To me it was very hard to get immersed into a world when the name clearly implies it is just a story trying to be told.

The couple of puzzles that were presented felt like they were way out of context of the story. A coded message delivered in base 64? Thats where I said adios. Mike Verdon - drug dealer.
Danny Morris - employer.
Jenny Morris - employer's wife.
Joe Foggerty - best friend.
Laura Green - girlfriend.
John Harrison - father.
Stephanie Lyons - father's partner.

I just really don't see any of them using base 64 for that. It just felt too contrived, maybe try to find something that fits with the characters.

Sorry things didn't work out, and good luck with this when you present it again (to some other community).

Totally agree
This is the reason why I left the game in the first place

Don't feel down, mysterious PM. The fact that you made it this far is awesome! Just learn from your mistakes, and don't be shy to ask for help PMing whatever game you choose to run next!

For completetions sake, I want to decode that last puzzle

I'm pretty sure I've got it, I think it's a transposition cipher, it looks perfect for it, but I'll be damned if I can get it decrypted...
