They're bluffing. I refuse to believe that UF would ban users for showing the next step in a game. That's what we do here. This site is OOG, and any PMs that won't accept that don't deserve to run a game.

The only thing I have ever seen getting people Banned at UF is breaking the user agreement. (Which boils down to having more than one nick for the purpose of posting to your own game and influencing the players as a shill.)

Sven you are ass-u-me-ing that the Revolution is a game. I have my personal doubts about that.

Ya know what. I don't know why. But the revolution is actually starting to grow on me. I am really starting to enjoy the banter of it all. It is still so mysterious tho. Interesting. Hmmmm

Really? Because the "mysteriousness" and some of the elitist attitudes are really starting to piss me off. XD

Oh, I do.

It still annoys me. I just don't have the patience to read 15 roundabout sentances about why we should eat peanut butter ontop of jelly instead of vice-versa. Especially when they say it like the jelly-on-topers are a secret cult channeling Cthulhu through the designs made by the strawberry seeds. Razz

Yea, it draws you in. Has drawn me in. Like he said. With a grain of salt.

Still, alot of the posts speak truth, and it is a fun board to debate and talk on. No matter how stupid, lame, fake, or anything else it might be.

Chances are 90% it will be nothing worthwhile.

If they qare requiring links in sigs, my guess would be that this is an interactive attempt at an inbound link building program to drive traffic and pagerank to thier main site. Dont be suprised if at some time you see either products for sale or a ton of outbound links to a product site.

Not that thats a bad thing, just the first thing that came to my mind when I read about the sig link requirement.

No I don't think that is what it is, of course I could be wrong, it has been known to happen. Granted, I don't exactly know what it is completely about yet, but so far it seems on the level.

It looks like no one is really updating here on UF, but thought you would all be interested in reading this. This was posted yesterday in the Front Line forum:

Quote:
I don't have a lot of time right now so I am going to post this thread here now and type up something a bit more general for the public forums.

Last week, one of us was contacted by United States federal law enforcement regarding the intentions and possible activities related to this site.

We have been advised by our attorneys to not speak on the matter; however we feel we owe it to the community to say all we can. We can't provide details, but we are going to have to suspend our involvement with the community indefinitely until this is resolved. We remain optimistic that it can and will be resolved, but only time will tell.

That being said, we all felt it was worth the small risk to thank you all for your involvement. It was exciting to see a community develop and grow so much in such a short period of time. The personality of this community and the discussions which took place spoke not only to the need for revolution - even if it is simply one of general society - but it spoke to the idea that people from every country, every religion, every walk of life could come together as one and discuss relevant issues.

To the chagrin of our legal counsel, we will not be closing this site. The forums will remain active and open until such a time as we are ordered to close them. As has been mentioned, we can no longer "guide" this community (for the time being), though we hope that you will see Revolution adding to a conversation here or there. Also, you have a responsible and mature administrator in Logic who has all the ability necessary to keep this board open and operating. The site will continue to be free of advertisements and we welcome you to continue the great discussions which have been taking place for the last month.

For those of you who may be concerned, the individuals who donated funds to assist with the move to vBulletin have had their money returned. I hope that this will clear any doubts that any of you may have had that the site was not operating above board.

There is little else to say right now other than thank you. We are not giving up and we are not resigning to anything right now. We do, however, have an obligation to protect ourselves in a legal sense until such a time as this is all cleared up and we can proceed.

So, in closing: Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have all been an inspiration to us and proven to us that the idea of revolution is not some fringe ideal held by lunatics and extremists, whether it be a revolution of the mind or a revolution on the ground.

I think the Governator said it best when he appeared to be all but down and out:

I'll be back.

EDIT:: This is not a puzzle or a part of the second step, so please do not bother trying to decode the message. Thanks. ~ Revolution

If one of their sainted goals is to make the world a better place, maybe a lesson or two in honesty and respect for your fellow man would be in order, before you resurrect this abortion.

So on behalf of those that... well for lack of a better word... "care" about our bulletin board. My apologies for the empty threat, just trying to protect something I guess.

Sorry, who are you? An admin there, or just another fan offering perspective?

I have the same contact with the admin Saevita has with him.

So a fan offering perspective, with a little bit of insight to go with it.

For what that is worth.

What you said, Hikari.

Me and 3 other people were given Moderator status after I posted about being a fan. No I am not "Revolution" and I know as much as I did when I first posted here as I do now.

So before you accuse someone of being dishonest please have SOMETHING, anything to back it up.

Thanks,
Logic.

Why didn't they get all pissy with Hy for posting something here that was in the Front Line forums like they did with Luke?
Seems to be a little two-faced, or at least a double standard.

*Edit:
And why can't I find the above post in any of the other forums on dfwr? It seems it was only in the Front Line forum.
Why not make it public to the masses of recruits they have?
Things that make you go hmmm . . .
