I sent an email to the guy. This is what I wrote:

His reply was:

Quote:
I welcome your enthusiasm and encourage you to engage in discussion on our
message boards. It is from there that we will draw those who are needed
for the Revolution.

Many will try to define the Revolution and - through the involvement of
each person - the Revolution will be shaped and molded. You are the first
to have been told this.

What about Death, Famine, War, and Rot (synonym for pestilence)?

I was really suprised I hadn't seen the four horsemen yet. Those would be cool names. I totally missed the acronym though, probably because I keep forgetting about famine.

Hey, it sounds like a better revolution than 'six sigma', anyway.

About the numbers? Avarice will take the seventh, I suppose. Smile

Holy Virtues...

I liked the idea of using the 7 Holy Virtues, especially when they started encouraging the whole sin thing (I like to go against the grain). Anyway, the more comonly known Holy Virtues are:

Faith
Hope
Charity
Prudence
Temperance
Fortitude
Justice

Which I believe take precedence over the "cures" which are commonly known as:

Humility
Kindness
Abstinence
Chastity
Patience
Liberality
Diligence

I went with Spes (hope), as in: Fides, Spes et Caritas - Faith, Hope, and Charity.

Now we just need some people to take up the rest of 'em, and we can have a proper opposition!

And leaping in with both feet we now have 'The-Inimitable'

Still not entirely sure if this is an ARG, but it's certainly a *something*. And potentially some good fun too Very Happy

Seems there is a new part of the Forums.
"The Front Line"
It's private though. I PMed "Revolution" about it, I'll see if I get a reply.

Guidelines for private forum are up:
http://dfwr.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=57

Basically:
1. 30 posts
2. Link on your site
3. Time devotion to marketing

Now, how are we supposed to get people to join/click links without knowing what it is we are promoting?

That's already too much work since I still have no idea what the "revolution" is all about. Time and effort toward marketing something they won't even tell us about? I think not.

Yeah, I'm not liking where this is going...
We recruit people, they recruit people... It sounds an awful lot like a pyramid scheme type deal.
Plus, I'm not sure what exactly he means when he says, "be prepared to participate heavily in marketing activities"

I'll calmly wait until I get my 30, put a link in, and see what's in the Front Lines. But I might drop out after that.

Yeah, I'm not down with anything that uses me as a tool to market. I'm not a commerical. I'm out. (not that I was every 100% in)

Hehe, I joined, "DanteAlighieri" Figured I'd be more specific then my gamertag for this little game. Seeing as how you all are using the sins and virtues.
BTW, the time isn't going to end until the night of April 5th 2035 at midnight...You guys planning on waiting that long?

Jeez!
Two bombs on the same day.
Totally missed Benjamin Stove, cause I thought it looked kinda amateurish at first.
I suck!
