I just noticed this game today. Other than the prizes, has it been worth playing so far? Should I even bother with it?

I've enjoyed it. You've got 6 days to catch up to the rest of us. Good luck.

Why is this discussion in the Unfiction forums? Is the da Vinci code quest an ARG? If it is, I've missed it completely.

Well, at over 180 replies, it is an active discussion. So, I guess it doesn't really matter if it belongs here or not. At the same time, it's only one thread; not like it's hurting any users of the forum. If you don't like it, don't read the thread. Wink

Adding the 6th symbol to the sudoku (type) game made it a lot harder. To help me, I drew the grid out and substituted the symbols with numbers so I could solve it in a more traditional way. Hope that helps.

Oddly, I found today's puzzle with 6 symbols easier than last week's puzzle with 5.

I'm just glad to finally be past the Sudokus. I hope we don't see any more of them.

Really? I found it to be insanely hard. I had to enlist the aid of my sudoku-obsessed sister to finish it.

It depends on where the set symbols are. Last week, I restarted the game a dozen times because I just couldn't get it. Today, I managed it on my first attempt.

As always there is an element of luck when you have to guess a couple pieces to get going. Pick the wrong path... I restarted three times, playing myself into a frenzy of error the first two times. Third time practically played itself. I got lucky that time. VERY hard. Last week the colored zones were a big help. This week they were a big problem.

All caught up now, spent 2-3 hours going through all the little puzzles so far.

I think it's a little repetitive, but it's a good time killer. Not quite what I had hoped, but it's alright.

You don't have to guess on that last sudoku, there's always a logical next placement, some are just really hard to see. I like sudoku and I've introduced a few other people to it also, I've found everyone sees different patterns. One puzzle that's hard for me is very easy for someone else and vice versa.

If you're really stuck on one to the point where it makes you annoyed to look at it, there's three tabs near the bottom of the puzzle. There's a 'Give me a new puzzle' (or something like that, I'm doing this from memory), on the far right next to the 'Refresh'.

Click it, and it will say ask if you're sure, you will lose all progress on current puzzle. Say yes, and it gives you a new puzzle of the same type for the day. I had to do this one today, the little scribblies were so mean!

Also, if you (accidentally) close the window before finishing, the next time you access the page, it will be a different version of the same puzzle.

Yup, even in really really hard Sudokus, I've only had to guess maybe three times ever, and that was probably uncalled for too. I always feel like I'm cheating if I guess on a game, although it can be lots easier (quicker!) if you don't see the pattern right away.

sometimes you just have to guess. See i hate the whole spot game. I still don't understand how to play it. I just randomly click along and like magic it is all ready to go.

Amen to that. I hate the spot game. Got through it though.

It looks like the last puzzle will be the jigsaw. I got stuck on both of the last 2 questions after the jigsaws. The last one is going to be pretty tough I'm guessing. Maybe I'll get lucky or something.

I wish that sudoku or the Curator puzzle was last, cause I am actually pretty good at those. I WANT THAT CRYPTEX!!
