It wasn't posted over here though so I thought I may as well put the link up.
This wasn't a USA-specific Season2-spoilerific link, but something related to the Gary Troup book promotion (was Valenzetti) thread. If i don't see it over there by now, we'll add it to that thread and allow this USA thread to quietly drift to the bottom of the inactive threads (as it had been doing for the past few days until bumped with the question).

Wow, what an episode.
And it does fit very well into the game too
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

It appeared to be the exact same clip from the site & last week...
... with a tiny "Paid for by Sprite" appearing in the bottom left corner of the screen.
That, and the hansofoundation.net URL at the end was swapped out for www.subLYMONal.com
I just don't understand the tie-in with Sprite thus far. Obviously, all the Sprite pages we've found appear to be in-game. But no assets other than the Sprite ads seem to really break from the "reality" of the scenario.
Are we to assume that Sprite really has a connection with the work that the Hanso Foundation/Dharma initiative have been involved with? Or is it just a way for them to expose the game to a broader audience?
If it's the latter, it would be disappointing.

I think it is just a way to pay for the ARG - think about it. With a big ARG like ILB you had Bungie/MS footing the bill and the big pay off of the fans buying Halo 2.
Since LOST relies on ad-driven revenue (commercials during air-time) there is no way left to pay for the ARG - they need to pimp themselves out to other companies (in this case sprite).
If there is no cash payout in the end, like a movie, or game, I expect to see more ARG's with commerical tie ins.

Suppose you're right. As long as the whole story doesn't end up resolving into some cheap-ass Sprite commercial.

Maybe joop is on an all sprite diet, causing him to live to 105 years...

I dunno, didn't Art of the Heist basically revolve around "hi, here's a stolen car! It's an Audi!"? People still played that even though it was a far more blatant product placement.
That being said, though, some of the ways the Lost PMs have been addressing things have pulled me out of game here and there. I chalk it up to having to balance out wildly differing participation and skill levels-- from folks like us who see a trailhead and immediately set up camp, to people who watch Lost on their TiVo once a week or so and get curious, go to the Hanso site, and have no clue on Earth what they're seeing.

true do we have an ambassador over at the other site explaining what they are seeing? So we can gain more bright minds instead of spectators.
--- can we have this thread locked or at least a vote on locking it. It seems worthless.

The clip I saw, appeared earlier in the show. It was an image that flashed on the screen for about 1/10 of a second. I have now reviewed it and it was an ad for 1-800-sos-radon. I do not think it is IG. Here is a screen shot if you care to see it.
Edited to correct spelling of radon.

That ad looked suspect to me also, however, it had an EPA logo and really is the EPA's Radon number, so I'm pretty sure its not IG.

[tinfoil hat spec about last night's episode]
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Maybe all the bizarre behaviour of the people in the hatch is because of radon in the air system!
Certainly as possible as anything else we've seen so far...

it might be since local commercials go over that. So that was prob a bad overlay from the local side.

Today, I tried sending a message to Joop. Yesterday it was telling me connection timeout, but today, Joop gets angry and there is some new stuff to do.
