Or the ad wasn't placed by the "hanso foundation" and isn't considered a special event

The "developing African nation" which is whited out in the "Mathematical Forecasting Initiative"...

The first letter is almost definitely a "Z", which wuld make it either Zambia or Zimbabwe. It looks like the word is too short to be "Zimbabwe", but "Zambia" would fit, if the letter tops we can see are the dot of an "i" and the top of a "b".

My speculation is that they either whited out "Zambia" to avoid getting grief from the Zambians, or they have just invented a generic developing African nation name.

Zanzibar (read the letters it must be)

the code for the miracle link is

asfunction:miracleLink

anyone know how to do something with that ?

Zanzibar isn't an African nation though, and the word "Zanzibar doesn't fit into the space that's been whited out.

In a way its good that we are all getting the same content so far. The casual gamer wouldn't have access to a service like Unfiction or contacts with people around the world, plus most people who have seen the advert aren't ARGers anyway. I think the phone number advert was an excellent gentle worldwide entry to what could be a good ARG.

For what it's worth, it wasn't an ad per se. It interupted the show, and then cut straight back to the show.

Just after you posted actually, it came on my network Smile Im in a country area and usually they do things like that. Would've been better if each country had different messages, though.

That "fake ad" insert totally threw me for a loop, but now that I know what's going on, this should be fun.
One question, I've only just popped back in after being away from here for ages, is this a globally-running-at-the-same-time thing, or have the US and UK already played their game and now it's Australia's turn? Because I want to avoid spoilers if at all possible.

US and UK are 1-2 days ahead of Australia, but at the moment we're essentially at the same spot.

I'm really straining my eyes here, but I just can't see anything inside the circle. Could you please tell me whats there?
Btw, that avatar is hilarious.

the numbers if put in 1=a 2=b etc etc it spells out

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
missing organ

Trout

Please review the Quick Ref here to get caught up. It's less cluttered if everyone's on the same page.

Thanks!

<edit> someone did my trout already, no fair.

I mentioned the Bermuda Triangle numbers/ Missing Organs (note the S) a few pages back, twice.

I think it might have something to do with the Director who had the lung and pancreas cancer (Steven I think). He might have had organ transplants that were stolen.

What'dya thunk?

Breaking Strain is the name of a Rudyard Kipling poem:

LONG LINK

It is also the title of a short story written by Arthur C Clarke (Space Odyssey).

I can't really find a synopsis about the book.

[INFO] Breaking Strain by Arthur C. Clarke

Here's a (sort of) synopsis:

Her code name is Sparta. Her beauty veils a mysterious past and abilities far surpassing those of a normal human. For she is more than human, Sparta is a product of advanced biotech engineering. Now she wants to find the memories that have been hidden from her.
