Via trial and error, the other "sections" that I could find to work are:

it is very interesting... I like that we can bypass the girl but oh well. At the same time I hate that they are trying to make this too easy should we even discount the RSS or consider it since its part of the site. I just dont want the puppetmasters handing us material and instead us as a collective discovering it all.

Hey there ppl! Just had a fun couple of days reading over this thread in its entirety!

After playing NotPron for a measly amount of time (ultimately it was the dark ambient audio loop that drove me away! Very Happy ) I decided to give the "Lost Experience", and it's just that, a shot. I actually like the NotPron better lmao!!

Now don't get me wrong I am a total Lost junkie and like everyone else here I can't wait to get that little bit of extra information that helps to clarify what's going on the island and with Dharma.

I know of some spoilers that definitely haven't been addressed here yet. They are the leader of the others and a bit more about that. Anyone can find this info so it's no biggie I found mine through the Sci-Fi Brain section of IGN. Don't worry I won't share unless you want to pm you the info.

For all of our lovely tea drinking, crumpet munchin' brothers across the pond no worries mates! Oi you know I wouldn't do you wrong and spoil you anymore then you already are Wink !!

Oh this is my first post here and perhaps my last after that last remark j/k I love chips and bangers and mash and the OG Heinz Baked Beans which suck over here in the states! GO MAN-U!!

Anyway after reading everything I am left scratching my head like "What have the hidden clues really explained or helped to clarify anything about ANYTHING?!?" Imo the site taken at face value explains so much about the show in regards to Dharma and what they hell they were studying and trying to do with their island laboratories. The fact that you guys haven't even made correlations between the map and the Hanso Org site is prime example of how you guys are totally missing the forest for the trees. For those of you not familiar with that tired colloquialism it means you're so bogged down in the details that you're missing the major concept(s). Now I am not saying that I know everything by any means but when the site gives us information on Alvar Hanso and then we later see "Last known Resting place of Mangus (sp) Hanso, Black Rock" on the map then connecting the dots to the Bad Twin story should become easier.

The fact that everyone is going way crazier for the game then the map and literary references seems odd to me. The clues seem to be extremely hidden in the game and reveal nothing more than what the site already gives us other than the documents. On the other hand the map and literary references when working in conjecture with the base information found on the website provide us with a way more broad understanding of what the island was initially designed for and perhaps even what led to its current rather chaotic state.

Ask yourselves this ... what would you gain by knowing the exact location of the island? What are you going to build a raft and set sail to save our fictional characters from inevitable doom? HA! Figuring out the name of the country or capital where Hanso got in trouble with the WCF or whatever watchdog organization he pissed off (I forgot the name WFW sumthin') for the unethical experiments on the indigenous ppl of "x" third world nation. I say "x" because unless you just really have to know every little detail what difference does it make? Like it would have made a difference in The Constant Gardener which country was being taken advantage of … right … it merely serves as a backdrop for the story. Now obviously the producers are going to work in anything with hidden content from the site to the show but really how important will said information be to broadening your understanding of what's actually going on presently in the story.

For the ppl who flamed that poor person who tried desperately to crack into the Monster database … my hat is off to you sir as being just the type of person needed to truly get to the bottom of this mystery. For the referee who was talking about following, or not breaking, any of the rules I would like to say where is this rulebook as obviously you have found the one hidden piece of information that nobody else can find (i.e. you can't break rules if THERE ARE NONE!! Durh big brained boy!)

As far as breaking laws in my mind both parties committed the same crime in accordance to what "the Ref" was describing. If it's a fictional character then someone REAL had to create the false account which is surely as great of a crime if not more so than simply cracking your way into seeing a resume in order to avoid charges. I can already hear the Ref back peddling and ruining his initial argument by trying to switch sides and show how the creator of the false resume works for the show and was placing the resume with Monsters knowledge as they're in on it as well as the phone advert shows. Yeah dude ok so Monster isn't fair game how? Either way the argument loses out because of what I had previously stated. It's the pot calling the kettle black and is simply a moot point from the get-go.

Now how about all of those literary references? Find a common MO for the some of the short stories yet? All roads point towards improving the human condition through advanced and sometimes unorthodox scientific disciplines. Remote Viewing? Well that's a part of parapsychology isn't it? Breaking Strain perhaps refers to something developed on the island. According to the French chick all the Others are infected. Perhaps the Hanso study that got them in trouble with the Health Organizations stems from the development of a "strain" or genetic treatments that lead to prolonged life … maybe with disastrous results. What if the others were all hella old lol!

This next part I'll put in spoiler warnings although it is nothing for real and merely my speculations. Still if you don't care about what I think (lol then that sentiment would be mutual) then read on and see what a fool I am for making my own theories!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I could keep going on and on and on but to finish up look at how many studies that there are according to the Hanso Org and then think about the original film and the relative number of hatches reported on the map. Lastly although on the site the Hanso organization super sugar coats Alvar's bio if you read relatively between the lines you'll soon discover that his background is predominately in weapons designs for huge organizations like NATO. Now this is the same guy who after years of "keeping the peace" with the weapon systems he designed decides to just turn over a new leaf and begin to operate a business that is the polar opposite to everything he had done up to that point(?!?!?). I believe that the island was and perhaps still is a façade for his or Dharmas continuing research into weapon system design… Perhaps they are working on the ultimate weapon system, the super evolved, genetically and biologically enhanced human with psychic powers and who the hell knows what else. Obviously something went wrong on the island "Catastrophic breakdown of the Cerberus System" (from map) which I believe is the end result of the Electromagnetic Research Initiative. So perhaps Alvar was creating other nonhuman designed weapons as well and maybe he has relatives that helped to usher in the relative destruction of Alvar's "dream" or façade. Makes perfect sense why you would conduct your experiments on one of the most remote islands in the world especially after you already got in trouble once for experiments on people in the real world and perhaps had more publicity then expected so bada bing one island later no more bad PR.

Thanks for listening to a rant and raver!

I think it took me longer to read that post than it did to read the entire forum! Brevity is waaaayyyy underestimated.

Nothing like someone coming in with a chip on their shoulder and already being defensive.

Great start to a mediochre relationship.

All I have to offer to you as a reply Cerberus is that the site has only been up for a week. I'm not sure how deeply you can delve into the secrets of this game when it is really just beginning.

I think (s)he's confused. What with thinking of NotPron as a game and not a puzzle trail, (s)he might not understand the concept of ongoing updates and revelations playing out real time

It's all good speculation, but I figured this site WAS about all the little details and adding them up.

That just looks like someone who found one of the non-official LOST trails and thought it was interesting.

I have read large chunks of this thread and you guys are coming up with some crazy stuff.

I'm happy working at my own speed but I think I have a tiny, seemingly irrelevant piece of info (that I really hope hasn't been pointed out or I'll be lynched I'm sure). The guy in the Dharma orientation video has a prosthetic arm BUT is it on his left? The EXIT sign that appears to be a reflection in the video is the correct way round so the video appears inverted.

Apologies for butting in on your discussions.

Sorry mate that's just not the case. My own theories that I came to after reading Lost Legacy, A Psychological Shipwreck, Assignment in Eternity, The Third Policeman (awesome book) and a Wrinkle In Time, again. There are a ton of other books that are referenced in Lost but those I started with. I admit that the novels I discovered through lost.cubit.net and the Entertainment Weekly March 3rd edition. I read the producers stating something to fact that reading some of these books will not tell you what is going on in the island but will be like an ace in the pocket for certain stories.

My curiosity peaked when discussing the Breaking Strain novels although the Arthur C. Clarke short sounds correct in form.

Oh puzzles can also be games, like Tetris. Let's not argue semantics here huh?

Oh and Andre I don't obey ... period. You and Kinsley can stencil the world and I'll still be like "Meh..."

Just to respond to the Mittelwerk statement, and to restate what I said in the other Book discussion thread:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In Bad Twin, which likely takes place around 2001/2002 (the last known appearance of Alvar Hanso, according to Persephone), Hanso is removed from the board of executives of the Widmore Corporation, replaced by one Thomas Mittelwerk, a man nobody on the board trusted because they found him unsettlingly devious, etc.

Could be why he's important? You think? Taking over the company?

Maybe it strikes just me because i am a native german speaker, but why did the puppetmasters choose such a strange sounding name as Mittlewerk?
is it a common name in the US?
to me it sounds awful german and reminds me instantly of a german contrentration camp in which missiles were built.
to choose such a name cannot be a coincidence, in my eyes.
