Ok the rotating one; I found the clues helpful so use them. I can't remember the arrangement of the top of my head...so i'll explain best as i can
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
onegear rotates by itself, don't do this one first. Lock the gear together and get a word on the one that only rotates with the lock in place. unlock the gears, now find the matching on the other wheel. That should complete it
For the film strips, again I can't really remember but here are some of them:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
clock face [i], a railing [e], the legs of a table [m or a, pretty sure it's a], bottom of the tree [g]
The final answer for the film strip, again I'm not 100% sure is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
teabing
so that should tell you which letter your missing.

Got stuck with the "Market Place" puzzle Can someone please tell me how to "spin the wheel"? I clicked on the smaller inner wheel and nothing happens.

Eurostar Level 2 Marketplace Puzzle Update: If you have trouble turning the wheels, here's how:
To turn the inner wheel:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. press the rose pin in the center DOWN;
2. turn the OUTER wheel while KEEP PRESSING the left mouse button. (The inner wheel does NOT move by itself.)
To turn the outer wheel:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1. pull the rose pin UP;
2. turn the outer wheel while KEEP PRESSING the left mouse button.
I don't know if the answer changes every time, but the answer for me is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Royal Mile.
BTW, my personal best for the crytex and the vault are both 4 attempts, each takes about 1 min 8 or 9 secs. I don't think I am going to qualify for a copy of the book, do I?

Cancel the above, i'm now stuck on the one with the torn pieces of plan for the building.
Both the clues are no help whatsoever. Can anyone advise what the numbers in the clue mean?!?!?

From left to right, the strips will go 1, 2, 3, ..., 20.

The clue gives you two glimpses of the numbering of all the pieces, wherever you have them. (final numbering = left to right in order) If you've already used them you're toast. Register under a new name.
I used one too early (so many pieces out of place I only managed to pick up a couple before the clue faded), but then struggled as long as I could without the second so that when I used it there were few enough out of place that I could remember most of them when the clue faded. I recommend working left to right (the title at the top helps put the first several pieces together) as far as humanly possible and then trying the first clue. Scan the bottom quickly to see what's still out of place before the numbers fade. (I'd say try a screen cap but I don't know if it would work and if it doesn't you just wasted precious moments.) Work as long as you can stand it on the rest and save the second clue for the bitter end - some of the smaller bits I just couldn't get without that last hint.
Note - I googled the place and decided that the windows should go one round - two rectangle - one round etc, which also helped somewhat.

jvkeyes - if you are still stuck.
you can't just click the wheel.
you have to click, then drag the wheel while still clicked.
