....not really the same thing, is it?

with regards to the book, what sort of negative information on the hanso foundation does it contain that might prompt an advert of the sort posted in the other thread?

They connect that Widmore and Hanso are directly connected, with Alvar working on the Widmore Board of Directors. However, at the time of the writing (Which would place it around 2002), Alvar had been removed, and Thomas Mittelwerk was put in his place.

Oh, BUT, it was stated that nobody on the board trusted him in the least, that he seemed devious and out for his own agenda.

(Also, I wonder if the "real" Helios foundation will exist, since Persephone was the daughter of Helios according to myth. The Helios Foundation was run by a guy named Elio, which is strikingly similar to Enzo and Enrico, the Valenzetti father and son from the fake site - I don't know how much canon the fake sites list, but if they manage to use the real info, potentially there's a connection to mythos?)

It could be in game, check the source. 'Dharma', 'Widmore', etc. Has anyone called the number? The in game sites for this are typically more polished, though.

I wish everyone would stop making 'fansites' that mess with this game and our progress and then not identifying them. Confused

Sorry, but is the URL in the book, or just the name of the organization?

The website is contained within a frame. The frame contents come from http://www.onentofl.com/helios.html -- i've seen that domain used on another fan site (which i'll have to go dig thru my notes to find the reference).

Entirely OOG, this particular website is.

 		The name of the Foundation appears in the book, I just tried the website because I thought "Maybe that's what she meant by THF.org in the numbers."

And yeah, I think it's silly how many fake sites are popping up, and just how quickly they do. Was this happening during ILB or the Beast?

 		its funny today people that where never playing arg in their lives and made fun of me for doing so know about this one. When I went and said welcome to the network they flat out denied that they where turned on by an arg.

 		um i think helios is not part of the game or a fan site sicnce it's advertising a nudist coley to which i can find no use for in the game or lost or the book

Artisan spends a good chapter (at least) at the Helios Foundation, naked amongst other naked people, with a man called "Elio." It's in San Luna, California, etc.


But it's likely fake. My point was "hey, people got a site up about it quickly."
