The emergency response artists are drawing and painting just as fast as they can!
(considering that one was on the spot, judging from the Sentinel, and managed to sketch the explosion as it happened, that's as close to 'live' as a photo-phobic society gets, I guess...)

This is SO going to screw up my performance on the AP Euro test in 90 minutes.
Is it possible for anyone who gets text updates to see if they can back-bounce the address they've been getting the messages from and try to contact Kurt?

A major explosion occurred this afternoon in the Old Town, in the vicinity of the Caldera subway station. The affected building is Highview on Centine Way, just off The Shift. The building houses roughly 70 occupants, though it is hoped that most residents were not home due to the blast's timing during the regular workday.
The building is heavily damaged and ablaze; thus far, rescuers have only emerged with one woman and two small children. It is feared that there will be no additional survivors, due to the severity and unexpected nature of the blast; so far three bodies have been recovered from the flames. Firefighters are working to minimise damage to neighbouring properties. The cause of the blaze is not yet known, nor is the extent of the damage.
Explosion at Centine Way
Emergency medical teams are currently treating the woman and both children, who have reportedly suffered from serious smoke inhalation and minor burns. A number of injured bystanders who were struck by debris when the explosion occurred have already received first aid or been transported to the hospital.

Woman and three children could it be Anna?

Thankfully, no.
Anna's apartment is at 18 Fisher Road in Old Town.
Close, but far enough from a cigar to take a bit of solace.
And, considering how this locale is "just off the Shift", but not on the map as of yet, we can't really be sure who or what exactly was targeted, as much logical speculation we can make.

Possible.
[Spec] Maybe someone was searching Miranda's apartment and set off a bomb that she had left behind to hide any incriminating evidence?
Maybe someone's covering her tracks because She's linked with the 3P?
Maybe it was a simple gas explosion?[/Spec]

Indeed...
"Ryan Howdell, a 23-year-old resident of a neighbouring building."
Well, the explosion was confined to a single building, just waiting for the update of when it's finished, to check a number of things.
Is there anywhere that I can find a map of the Subway route and how it corresponds to the apartments? I have a theory that probably won't pan out, but I want to look into anyway.

Is the flat near Miranda's last know position at the station where she dumped her key?

I'm meeting up with Violet later today to figure out a game plan, but before that I'm going to follow one of your suggestions and visit Miranda's apartment again to see if there's anything useful there I can find.

Nope... Grand Fredricks station is quite a distance from old town. Not sure about Gillet road though... That may have been near (under) the blast?
