Trout me, but has it been suggested that these are all of the same person who has undergone "Life Extension therapy," or perhaps just aged a bit? I mean, the first one seems to be in September 2002, the next one in October of '75, and the third in September of '86.
Maybe that's why the suggestion of "timeless" was to take out the dates earlier. Hrm.

If you by sprites mean entities used to fill out as an avatar for an object. (Common use of Sprites in games) Then, well, they where stock photos. Other wise look at each of the hole pictures and then at the board of directors. See how common they are?
Otherwise i think the sublymonal thing is a red herring, since only timeless gives you the same thing.

The negative space where the image's face should be looks like the outline of an island or landmass. It almost looks like an outline of Antarctica.
Also, this "head" is not proportioned correctly. The "ears" are too low on the skull. It doesn't look like a photo that has been fiddled with in photoshop to me - it seems more like a composed or drawn image.

I don't think his ears are too low on the skull unless you're just looking at the wrong thing. On his right side, the ear is near the top gap, not the bottom gap, and that's right where it should be. It still might be a landmass, however, but it's definitely not Antarctica having just compared it to a map.

That photo looks like Thingy. Y'know, thingy that got..
(episode 2x07)--
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
chucked in the prison pit by Ana Lucia and given bananas by Mr Eko. The guy they thought was an Other (though I didn't see the end of that episode So no idea if he actually was or not).
Perhaps these faceless images are all of 'Others', and are just leading us to believe...
(spec)--
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The others on the island are Hanso employees.
Obes.

Obes,
Man, you need to sort that last post out! Make it clear what episode the spoiler is for (Season 2: Episode 7/ The Other 48 Days) and then fix your other spoiler tag, even though it's just speculation.
Anyway, about the picture. It's only two colours with no obvious hidden words. Also, nothing cool seems to happen if you put another "hole" image over the top of it.

I think we need to look at the filenames...
As if we combine them together, so not the pictures but the letters..
So like the new one is u8egnce86.gif
so letters wise U E G N C E
so combined with the last 3 hole pictures we have
3 : t9agen75.gif or T A G E N
2 : q9als2002 or Q A L S
so im getting....
S E Q U E N C E with some letters left over....
whats the name of the first picture??
EDIT : just did a bit of a search on technorati.. seems like someone has cracked it... got there before me .. damm it is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
light sequence again

I forget if Australia is ahead or behind the UK, but we saw that episode last week, so my apologies if I spoiled anything for the Aussies. However... my memory is bad enough to make even the spoiler terribly vague.
AND.. since I've got no idea how to explain the episodes (I haven't seen them all, nor in good order) I can't list which it is, without giving a description of it (which is spoilers... so you see my problem).
Now, on to the other spoilered answer from the other post, and how it relates to the file names... as I can't see how it works..
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
light sequence again ....
All the letters we have are..
U E G N C E
T A G E N
Q A L S
Take out 'sequence' and you're left with...
G T A G N A L
Which matches up to light again as such...
LGT AGAN
Leaving IHI.
Which happens to be 989 numerically speaking (Q9, T9, U8 ... remember those?)
This leaves 2002, 75 and 86 as not being used. Now, this makes no sense to me whatsoever... unless they are two dates (7/5/2002 and 8/6/2002) or TB (20 02), GE (7 5) and HF (8 6)... any ideas on what to do with that...?

Since Persephone said "timeless together" the solution was found by taking off the numbers that looked like dates and cooking up an anagram from the leftover letters.
The interesting thing we haven't focused on is that Persephone's clue confirmed our belief that that 2002, 75, and 86 were probably dates in the filenames...so I imagine these images will still have some long term significance, otherwise why include date information? The images, and the related date given, will come up again.

Australia is a few weeks ahead of the UK, so have no fear, nothings spoiled

So, I was reading over at lostpedia that someone tried plugging "timeless" into the code box at sublymonal.com S/he got the message:
Perhaps this link is relevant:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeless
This happens for any word typed into the code box. You can type in "booger," "Wonder Woman," etc, and get a link to the Wikipedia entry for it.
