Regarding the red and blue patches with words underneath - I had a look at 15 past and saw them, but when I showed my son at 42 past there was only one big red patch. I've now got to wait to see it again, anyone want to check it out too, just to make sure I wasn't seeing things? (And yeah, you guessed it, I didn't take a screenie...)
As far as i know the clock runs of your computer clock. Try setting you clock one or two minutes before 15 or 42 and load the page.
EDIT: I just tried, you adjust your clock time while the flash is loaded and it will change after a second or so.

There is definitely a difference between the 15 and 42 images, although this might be a pointer to some other difference and not be important in itself.

Is that supposed to be some kind of anagram aswell?

Like "hint reappear"? Or "repent pariah?".

Or am I just reading too much into this?

Not to dissuade a potential line of enquiry, but I fear that you may be. "Heir apparent" seems to literally mean someone who is going to take over from a ruler (or leader) not matter who else comes along or is born. That seems chilling enough if you ask me. :S

Also, the numbers 2630 and an odd square can be found at the lower right of the image before you click on the woman...

On a hunch, I dialed the Hanso number again. Before the menu options, the woman says "If you know your party's extension, please dial it now".

Sadly, I didn't reveal any fun secrets. As soon as she said "now", I pressed 2 6 3 0, the voices skipped as though each button press opened a new menu, and then after I hit 0, the line disconnected. I'm at work so I can't play with this, but does someone more familiar with PBX systems want to try some different combinations, perhaps # 2 6 3 0 or similar?

I think the point of "heir apparent" is that Mittlewerk is Alvar's right hand man, and most likely to take over in case something happens (happened?) to Alvar. I wouldn't read any more into it than that, myself.

When I witnessed the sublymonal stuff last night, my clock was at 42, and I saw the blue and red, not the two red.

Sorry if this has been asked, but do they both say the same thing?

Episode 02x15 spoiler:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Given that the picture of the woman looks like it was taken in a hatch, is it possible that she is Claire when she kidnapped and taken to The Staff? What if Mittlewerk was one of the "doctors" who was going to operate on her?

Episode 02x20 spoiler:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or, since the woman in the photo doesn't look like Claire, what if she is the woman that Jack's father met while in Austrailia? There is a theory floating around that Jack's father didn't really die and was brought to the island to work for Hanso/Dharma: maybe she has something to do with it?

Well until shown otherwise, I'd rather proceed on the assumption that in-game events and characters will remain mostly separate from the content of the TV show.

So... my thought about the blond woman (especially in conjunction with the wheelchair) is that she might somehow represent Mittelwerk's mother, who died of a 'rare genetic disorder' when he was young. So assuming that his bio is true (BIG assumption!) just what is this genetic disorder and does Mittelwerk have it too?

I definitely got the changed picture -- two red crosshatched areas, no apparent text beneath them. Hrm.

Oh, and I noticed that the ashtray has moved. Ooookay.

EDIT: two other small changes:

The words "CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PASADENA CA - 1980" are now underlined (no underline before).

The partial sheet that was peeking out of the left side of the main document is no longer there.

Tried a few combinations and haven't come across anything.

The only semi-connected thing I can find about 2630 is that it's the Unicode character for one of the trigrams (i.e. Force |||) that you see on the DHARMA logos which in I Ching has the following meanings: Force, Heaven, North-West, and can also mean Father.

DanteIL, I didn't do any better than you I'm afraid, I went through both videos too in case there were other minor differences but if they were there they passed me by completely - although my little find is now on the Wikis for this game, so as a newbie I feel very proud (sad I know, I'm sure I wasn't the only person who noticed it...)!

Is it just me, or does it look like Charles Mitchum's name has been crossed out on the tuition sheet( Charles Mitchum )? Looks the same on both versions. Don't know if it has relevance to anything though, or maybe I am just looking at it too hard.

Yeah... has anyone looked into the relevance of the names on the sheet? I had a little trouble making some of these out, so feel free to correct...

Alan Frost
Adam Shuttleworth
Andreas Ackermann
Anne Allen
Alexander Gould
Berenice Charles
Benjamin Paul
Barney Perly
Carl Bennet
Charles Mitchum
Edwin Austin
Elwyn Brooks

Isn't it weird that TWM wouldn't show up on this page even if he was enrolled? Also, this page suggests a much, much smaller enrollment than Caltech has. I don't want to distrust our source, but something's fishy with this page. And why is there a message about Gary Troup typed on it? What does he have to do with Caltech?
