I found something further! Anyone else find this? I clicked on the link in the news story and viewed the "Don't Believe "Bad Twin" " newspaper ad, then...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The newspaper.gif was in a directory called http://thehansofoundation.org/press/extra/uploads/paris/ - going to that directory revealed a file called legalmiller_final.pdf which is complaining to Hyperion Books about publishing "Bad Twin". The http://thehansofoundation.org/press/extra/uploads/ also has a /london/ subdirectory which is empty.

(spoilered as it's a puzzle solution? please let me know if I don't need to and I'll edit accordingly)

There's also discussion of this in the Gary Troup thread...

But I was wondering if anyone else has noticed that, when you go through the Newsletter signup page, immediately before Persephone's 'Welcome Back' message appears, that there is a quick flash of the letters sdsdsd? Anyone else see that?

EDIT: duly trouted. Didn't think to check a locked thread for this info..

Trout you 'cause I can, since I'm the one who first mentioned it. However, it's way back in the piles of the Hanso Foundation thread (I believe - I lost track), so I don't blame you for not finding it.

Still, I never get to trout anyone, so I'm counting this as a Personal Victory. Smile

I did do a bit of poking around, and I apolgize, but given how "new stuff" seemed to being handled, I thought a new post was warranted.

Beh, as I say, I don't blame you for not finding it, it's a pretty obscure mention of mine. In other words: Like minds! Smile

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I find it interesting that we're allowed to see the london and paris directories, and then we're locked out from seeing directories farther up. I wonder why that is? Also, is the letter linked anywhere on the site? Why is it uploaded to the site if it isn't displayed anywhere?

I see London, I see France, I see Alvar's underpants.

Can someone confirm that there's nothing stegged within the newspaper.gif file? Nothing showed up on my check but I'm not particularly experienced in this regard.

Cheers.

It's kinda interesting that London & Paris are the first two destinations on the Alvar Hanso bio page...........

Is it me, or are there too many hyphenated words in that pdf?

First post, so I'm going to spoiler it just in case.

Game clue speculation:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Perhaps this is where he is currently located in his travels. He mentioned in voicemail that he would be out for two weeks, but yet we have a newspaper ad with his name on it and a letter from him to the publisher.

Just a thought.

I tried the other destination on the Alvar Hanso map and got.... nothing.
Maybe time will tell.

Yeah, I see it too, Lyria. I find it interesting that this letter mentions the Foundation's "pristine reputation." One reading of Persephone's anagram puzzle earlier on was "LOGIN HUNCH WAS PRISTINE. 8, not 1 and 6."

Maybe the PMs just found it funny that we flailed around on the anagram and are rubbing it in, but maybe not.
