When playing Orbital Colony, my package came a week after those on the US
Why games always begin during my final exams??

All the best games seem to happen over the summer - just when we have other things to do - why can't we do them over the long cold evenings of winter?

Because then people would complain: Why do games always start when I'm busy with school/university/my new job, etc......
Games start when the PM wants them to start. Sometimes they are convienent, sometimes they aren't. I had to choose not to play some very popular games over the past two years because real life (RL) was more important. And I know I missed out on some interesting experiences.
For CTW2, I made a deal with RL, I'm taking some time out each day to investigate and communicate and be part of this community. But that also means I cannot do more than one ARG at a time (so I'm trying not to dive into Lost cause going into that hatch would just suck the life out of me and I would end up getting fired from my job).
Hey, could be worse, we could have the real rabbit hole just when you are taking finals - talk about a distraction during exams.

Yay, it looks like our overseas players are starting to receive their orders. Hopefully it won't be long before the game officially starts.
A little warning for those who pre-ordered, don't touch the signature on the picture, it rubs off. My daughter accidentally touched it on my picture.

It came it came!!!!!
In case it becomes important later:
the admit one tickets -normally don't they just pull off a bunch in a row to give you? There must be some reason for not handing them out in order to each customer... Even if it was for a raffle, they are usually given out in order...

2874159
2874162

Special gift ticket 375099 (if the handwritten alpha code becomes imprtant I will share that later, but it is different from y2kbozo's)

Possible solve? I took the non-repetitive numbers from those tickets(2459375), translated them to their respective letters and found that they anagram to "Beige CD" Does that mean anything to anyone?

Got mine too. Don't have it with me (I'm here at work), but it's largely the same as everyone else's. Six non-sequential tickets and an admit one ticket with writing on the back of seven letters. I haven't screwed around with it all yet, but I think there's got to be a puzzle here. Either something to do with codebreaking the number/letter combinations, or maybe the numbers reference something in the comic itself?

There is an advertisment for the following a back page above the ad for Synthasia web design:
Code:
The Egg. What if it all suddenly became real"
Coming in 2006 on New Fiction
www.theeggmovie.com
In the source code of the page is this web address as well as the following comment; "There is nothing to see here, go away now".
Not sure if this fits here or not.... means anything or not.... (gee I used to use 'I'm just a newbie' as a disclaimer now I guess it will be 'I'm so rusty') but if you save the link to eggmovie it is titled "Et in Arcadia ego".... very interesting stuff at wikipedia you can find here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Et_in_Arcadia_ego
In particular under 'consipiracy' section:
Quote:
However, the presumed grammatical defect has led some pseudohistorians to speculate that it represents some esoteric message concealed in a (possibly anagrammatic) code. In The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, Baigent, Leigh, and Lincoln, under the false impression that "et in Arcadia ego" was not a proper Latin sentence, proposed that it is an anagram for I! Tego arcana Dei, which translates to "Begone! I keep God's secrets "

I haven't got my package yet! I preorderd it about a week before they were due to be sent out. I live in the UK, so I thought it might just be taking longer for international shipping. Or maybe it's just crappy royal mail. Is there anyone else in the UK who hasn't had it through yet?

I'm panicking too - blamed it on being in the middle of the Peak District, glad I'm not the only one. Checked my credit card details - payment went out 14th April!
