If you right-click [or Ctrl-click] and do a Save As/Save Image, you can get the actual .gif, including transparency.

Damn this whole "work" thing, to hell.
Can't do any graphics editing, ATM.

Is somebody gonna do a grid of grids/letters?

This is what I got by overlaying the two: "senstyer".

EDIT: And by "the two", I mean #2 and #8.

EDIT2: Work is slow.

Let me speed it up for you...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if you reduce the math problem that gives us 28 you get 1+5+6+7+9=28. When you combine those gifs you get "ignored".

there is something else there

There is something else there also. I did a grid for all the letters and the word "because" is clearly visible in the 11 th row across.
Also "know" in the fourth row and
"blue" in the fifth and "lies" in the 1st.

There are also a few letters that seemed raised.

Screw it, here it is line by line:

1: a s g r _ _ c j l i e s
2: c t o i g n o r e d e m
3: _ i f d t o e s _ u _ o
4: u d o p r n k n o w x k
5: g v b l u e a _ n i y w
6: _ s n f t a y c d t i s
7: z o n h h s c b p q p
8: w t _ h i e _ y _ m s b
9: _ r _ d r v e r l f r n
10: b e t _ z e n t o i t d
11: _ v b e c a u s e m k r
12: h t k f _ r e a _ r r e

Incidentally, the "because" that dmon mentioned is what shows through if you rotate the mask 180 degrees.

Combine the three other masks [2, 3, 4] and put that atop the combined letter grid and you get "they are".

Woah this looks cool. I've not played an ARG for the best part of a year, so this looks like a great way to get back into the genre. Have we got an IRC room at all to use for this? That'd make solving puzzles and keeping track of things a lot easier. If not, I can make one.

Edit - IRC room on chat-solutions now at #syst3m. Enjoy!

Guys, great work, but I have no idea where you are finding these puzzles - can you please be a little more complete when reporting finds of puzzles and new pages? For example, how did you find out you had to email Minos? etc etc Remember that many people (me included) don't hang out in irc - we need to report everything here, too.

edit - well I think I figured out where you were (clicked a link I missed and found the grid and formulas), and the explanation for much of my confusion - [affectation] is not a game page but an eGo page where you are posting your progress. And I was loking for real masks, y'know, with scary faces and stuff. But I still don't see where the minos email thing came from.

And anyone know how I can save my employee password? It doesn't leave a cookie, no email telling me what the heck it was, the hiring page just filled it in...

Everything was actually solved in this thread. There really wasn't anyone in IRC working on this. The minos addy was found by looking up "Cayse Minos" on the employee page. It's explained on the second page of this thread(albeit briefly).

Have no idea. But I did post a message on there boards about it as well as sent a email. Hopefully they will get that fixed.

BTW, I am holding down the fort under "White Collar" all by my onlies. Apparently lots of people want to join Intelligence. Spread it around, folks!

BTW, as reported by someone else in the first page of this thread, McAfee reported a trojan attempted download when I opened the arcana page. (WJ/Wonka, I think. Or something close.).

Yeah, that's just my personal server. I was just posting stuff up there as visual aids.
