I think Kurt hasn't involved the police (yet) beyond the missing persons thing because the only evidence he has that she committed a crime (the Cognivia Ceretin trial outlier identity) is relatively circumstantial and difficult to corroborate - plus it was gained in a less-than-entirely-legal manner, and might also expose some of the other sneaky tactics used by the CRT on other occasions to official scrutiny.

random spin on the talent scout idea - but what if we say that Miranda is a producer of 'the lab' ("the hit perplex city reality show") and is in town 'secretly' looking for potential contestants for the next series which is sure to be bigger and better than ever. Even people who have no illusions of being able to sing will be wanting to go in for this as every perplexian wants to prove there puzzle solving ability - right?
