 		 Calling WoW Players! The Alliance needs you!
UF Free Private Server Guild
Twisted Evil Yes... yes... WoW. Many have fallen victim to it's lure from our wonderful forums and IRC, but we need more! Right now we're playing on a private server which means that you don't need a retail account and it doesn't cost a thing, just follow the instructions to download the client, expansion, and set your realmlist.

Some of you may have bad experiences with private servers in your past, I assure you this server is different. Barely ever a problem, only a few bugs here and there, and it's 10x blizz xp rates. Tradeskills are modified to train ALOT quicker and drops are set much higher than blizz rates as well. NOT a funserver, merely a modified blizz rate. Good for new and old players alike.

We have a UF only guild, so everyone that's on is likely to be someone you're familiar with. AzureWolf has been kind enough to set us up a private vent server for communication and there's plenty of gold to help you starting out on both our persons and the guild bank.

Interested? How could you not be? Cool First step is to follow the links in the instructions here:

Download the client and expansion, then use http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors to download the patches to get you up to version 2.4.3 and mush them all together for a workable package. Mind you, we're not playing on ChaosCrusade, merely using the convenience of their instructions.

Go to http://www.wowscape.net and choose account registration on the left... then make an account. Once you're downloaded, installed, and patched go to your World of Warcraft directory and open the realmlist.wtf file and edit the first line to read:

set realmlist logon.wowscape.net
(this IS the server we will be using)

From there it's a simple matter of logging on, making a character, and getting us to send you the guild invite. Be sure to choose the WoWCrack realm from the list when you log in... that is the one we will be playing on. Please remember to make an Alliance character or we will not be able to help/group with you or invite you to guild. If you have any questions or need help with anything let us know on IRC in #Warcraft or look for some of us in #bolsid or #aap if we're not idling elsewhere or come onto vent. Hope to see you soon!

 		I have a retail account already, one that can be suspended/banned if I were to play on a private server. Yes, i know I could re-download WoW and have a separate directory for private server files, but I'm lazy and would rather not risk losing my account.

 		I am on the crushridge server which I pay for every month, but If i were to join the private server, would it disconnect my current account?

 		I don't want to be an asshole and burst your bubble, however, private servers are illegal and can get you sued. It's copyright infringement. By running the game the first time, you agreed to the End User License Agreement, which specifically states that you cannot host any part of a server for WoW without special permission from Blizzard.

Anyway, for all the people with active WoW accounts, yes, it is a very bad idea to connect. Blizzard can and will detect chances to the realmlist file and if they find out you changed it (even if you change it back) it can be traced back to a private server and will get you perma banned.

PS. Alliance. Eww. For the horde.

Tee hee that's where you're wrong. Most private servers are legal using a loophole in the user agreement. Don't remember what it was.

And I totally agree, Horde FTW.

I personally never went on a private server, I just remember reading it somewhere(no, not wiki)

u damn n00bs, Blizzard won't ban u for playing on a pServer like wowscape cause Blizzard is using this that all pServer have much bugs and are lagging like shît... Blizzard is thinking that if u see all this laggs and server crashes that u will change to official World of Warcraft Community. If there would be somebody banned then it is the Community of that server u currently connected on, but not your Account. So stop fúckîng saying such n00b things.

Hmm, love your avatar gregory so I hate to disagree with you Razz.

1) The internet isn't magic, how could blizzard know what server your playing on, if they can't even shut down the private servers?

2) Logic test: They ban a PAYING player for playing on a private server, player thinks, "Hmm, I'm banned from real servers, guess I'll stick to free private one's from now on. And stop giving blizzard my money."

3) The only evidence you have is hearsay.

I'm not saying it's legal to play on private servers, it is definitely against the terms of service (Specifically you are not allowed to edit the game files, so changing the realmslist file is illegal in and of itself) And I could see them using it as an excuse to ban someone, but not solely for that reason. It's just terrible business sense.

In fact I would go so far as to say that the private servers are great for blizzards business. People who otherwise would never play wow, and I can point you to 3 people here, get to try it out. One of them has even gone retail. And isn't banned. Cool
