[Email] From Dale to previous CTW1 players

Found this in the email account I used for the first CTW (but not using for CTW2). Nothing new, but putting a copy in here for posterity. And, well, in the past Dave has put a rabbit hole in seemingly innocent emails - so you never know. Please take a look.

Hi,

This is Dale Sprague. I'm not sure where all of the addresses I have in
this old database came from, since I've used various forms for
different purposes over the years, any of which you could have filled out to submit your email. But since you are in my records, I thought you might be interested in some information about a personal project near and dear to my heart that has just reached its completion.

I've just released my very first work of fiction, a graphic novel
entitled Chasing The Wish. In case you're not up on the vernacular, a
graphic novel is a comic book that is longer and usually has better
production values than your standard monthly comics. Chasing The Wish is the story of a despondent but loveable guy who makes a wish that goes terribly wrong and his struggle to set things right again. It takes place right here in Aglaura and features many of my actual friends and
acquaintances in supporting roles. I'm still waiting to see how that goes over with certain individuals. Oh, did I mention that the main character's name is Dale Sprague?

That's right, the book is about me, and is actually based on some weird
and recurrent dreams I've been having lately, dreams that are so real
and vivid that they leave me wondering if I've just woken up or just
fallen asleep. Even though it's about me and my hometown, it is a work of
fiction and doesn't really tell the story of any part of my life.
Nevertheless, some elements of my real life have slipped into the story here and there, while a great many other things are entirely the creations
of my sleeping mind - or at least I thought so when I originally wrote
about them. Now, however, there seems to be some cases of subsequent,
but rather strange truths seeping through. But that's a story for another
time.

Chasing The Wish Book One is 48 full color pages, with glorious artwork
by James Curcio, P. Emerson Williams, Jessika Kaos, and Wm. Hamilton,
and a script by Jason Stackhouse. This team has taken my story and
crafted a wonderful book, a work of art really - although I admit to being
seriously biased - that I'm sure you'll enjoy. You can learn more about
it at the website I've created for the comic,
http://www.thewishcomic.com where you can check out a preview,
register for news and updates about Chasing The Wish, and purchase a copy. You can also enjoy it entirely online, in four weekly installments at
http://www.webcomicsnation.com/newfiction/. The first installment will
be available this Tuesday, May 23rd, so you're just in time to get
signed up for the entire book.

Finally, I've set up a Creator's Journal for the comic at
http://www.thewishcomic.com/journal where I'll be posting my
experiences, my triumphs and tragedies of creating and promoting Chasing The Wish. I'm in the process of moving some older posts from a different source to that location right now, so you'll be able to read about the creation process for the recently completed Book One very soon, along with any of my entries from here on out.

I've taken up enough of your time. I hope you don't mind the intrusion
after so long an absence, but it's never too late to reforge old
connections and friendships and I thought you might appreciate hearing from me again.

Take care, and good luck with everything you do.

Dale Sprague
