Is it possible that this picture and the faceless one from Hole2 are connected? It's just that suddenly two face-related pictures pop up from nowhere and both stump us...

Are we looking at the same page? The picture I'm looking at is the "pollution maps" on the MFI page

I'm talking about the Hanso pic as defined in the thread subject. Sorry, I just threw the thought in without saying it wasn't related to the post directly before it.

But when I zoom in on the "pollution maps" picture, it just looks like a low-quality stock pic to me.

Well I'll be honest I don't really know what I'm doing but using some software I found one image however don't think it has any relevance. I didn't find anything for the polution maps but then, as I said before I don't know what I'm doing in fact ignore this message.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I decompiled the executive bios page and found an odd picture four important looking people, two men and two women, all holding spades and hard hats, one of the spades was different, a golden colour while the other spandes were green and gold. I don't know who any of the people are. Copy of the image here http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e111/Placeforphotos/Image1.jpg

I'm not even sure what "decompiled" means, but you're saying this picture was somehow hidden on the exec bios page? Now that's really wierd. They appear to be execs breaking ground on a new site.

Decompiling a flash file is basically just taking the file and converting it back into the original editable file. It allows you to move the pictures around and such. This is how we've found a few "hidden" pictures under other pictures.

I think this could be something. I have no idea what it means, but the picture has to be in there for a reason.
(Unless the PMs are incredibly sloppy of course)

Interesting, but I think this is simply a case of the PMs being sloppy in terms of leaving unused images and/or other files in their workspaces. It's very common in a busy development environment to have unused stuff left lying around. It's probably just a picture they tried using or thought about using at some point, and that's about it. I wouldn't read a whole lot into it.

I agree Perko. I'm in the web design business myself and I've used temp images and of course Lorem Ipsum for faking text. I think we're reading too much into this as most PMs would not appreciate us decompiling their code. Just my opinion.

Namaste.

Try tabbing through the site and you will get a rectangle right inside the pollution map.

I just tried this, but it didn't yield the same result for me. When I tab through (I'm using IE), I don't get a single link box that touches the image. Anyone else?

Maybe because you have the text above the picture scrolled down, already? Wink
In that case the rectangle will be up there. Try loading that flash from scratch and it should be right behind the pollution picture.
Oh, one more thing: I'm not sure how screen resolution affects the position, although I'd say it won't change anything in that particular respect.

Sorry, Abraxas, I have tried duplicating what you described with the text scrolled up, scrolled down...pretty much anything but sideways. Still no dice. Sad
