Unversity of Iowa Museum of Natural History Webpage for the location of the Mythic Beastie. Looks like a post card from the sixties/seventies from this place. Ground Sloth Reconstruction. Anyone in IA care to check it out?
http://www.uiowa.edu/~nathist/Site/exhibit%20pictures/iceageslothpicture.html
His name is Rusty! ...

Another view of the reconstruction:

WTF:

And its a deadly sin to boot!

Apparently, a link has been found to www.djdan.am (http://forum.experience-lost.com/viewtopic.php?t=72
Not sure if this has already been discussed or not :S
Reading the post, does make it seem to be In Game as its from the shows writer...and also the site contains many references to Alvar Hanso and also Dharma...Podcast also contains reference to Alvar saying hes been cryogenically frozen in their labroratory...maybe to be cured from a disease in the future????[/sup]
Moved post to appropriate thread, Please don't be "Not sure if this has already been discussed" use the Search function. -colin

I was thinking if the mythical beastie bloke IS stegged, that the password might be Missing Organs or some variaton of it, in reference to being half land sloth, half robot, and therefore missing some organs, but I've checked and it isn't
Unless I've missed some combination.

Upon further investigation, it turns out that the top image on this page -> http://www.museum.state.il.us/exhibits/larson/sloth.html is identical to the one used by DJ Dan. Filesize matches exactly (95 829 bytes in both), and since I doubt that a museum would have a stegged image on their site, I think it's safe to assume that there are no secrets embedded.
Bummer.

All those images are png's, but that one's a jpeg. It's the one that says "stop them."
Edit: Whoops! Forgot to disable html...

Quick question, how do you de-steg a picture?

Can someone tell me where all this talk of stegging comes from? I think if this is going to continue we may need a new thread. I haven't seen anything suggesting steg is involved, although i freely admit i may have missed something.

DJ Dan sounds like the Nomad himself, Damon Lindelof.

I agree!!!!
I'll add that I think the other websites he links to are out of game. I'll also add that Art Bell and his "shadow people" creep me out.

It was nothing. A short lived fad. Feel free to carry on with your life.

the djdan.am site and www.thehansofoundation.org site are both hosted on the same IP Address:
Name: www.thehansofoundation.org
Address: 64.207.133.244
Name: djdan.am
Address: 64.207.133.244
Doesn't mean much I guess, but I found it interesting.

nice find. I'm curious what the two black images are. One looks like a dome/egg, but is is called explosion. but it just looks... funny. unnatural for an explosion.
another looks like some sort of graph of terrain.. But it is called fall out. Is Hanso teasting something? I'm gonna dig a bit on that one. In the meantime. Giving him an email...
Lastly, the UFO looks edited. The white on one side, and black on the otherside. The patterns look too... perfect to be random.
Mmm.. photoshop time

Hidden text on "Eyes on the man" page? When I was clicking around the "Eyes on the Man" page of the DJdan site, I thought I saw four or five sentences zip by in the speech baloon before it ended up on "wanna know who I am watching?"
Did anybody else see this?
Attached is a screen grab that shows some of the hidden text ghosted out behind the text that it ended up on.
Is there a way to look at source code to see what it says?
I don't know how to look for it, and it won't do it again?

Yeah man, that just says "What you ought to be paying closer attention to?" It's part of the animation shown above. I did briefly think that I saw something else in there...
...But I didn't.
Edit: Did you know that guys on some other forums are trying to hack DJ Dan's hotmail? Man, it makes us seem so civilised here at unfiction.
which is of course, completely untrue. We're all slobs.
