I guess the Hopi spider was specifically created to point its legs at exactly those angles.
Regarding the magic squares, there is more than one solution to any of them, which means that even if the numbers were aligned it would mean nothing.
The 6 has got interesting properties, indeed...
By the way, look at the date...you should have posted that today. Laughing

I'd be freaked if the numbers were all in-line, but alas they're not. I'm thinking the square as it is is the only solution that yields 111 any way you add up the lines. Of seen other squares that look different, but they're actually the same numbers but in reverse.

As for the spider, that only makes sense for its legs to point to these angles. Afterall, a spider has 4 legs projected out on either side along with a head pointed up and a behind (or should I say web-maker) pointed down. So that's 10 divisions of a 360-degree circle. The author also mentioned other historical depictions of spiders with legs at these angles.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist. This is the first time I've been able to trout someone. Here you go...

This post is the first I can find which mentions the MP3 which *replaced* the YouTube video link.

and the link to the post is here instead of the top of the thread.

Thank you.

I was beginning to think I was the only one that had cared/noticed it!

On the gematrian topic, this site may be useful. In addition to explaining what gematria is, it also helps with gematrian translation.

Hello there, Matt the Pale here. Myself and others were partially responsible for bringing that gematrian wheel to light. It was originally mentioned on May 18, but no one discussed it -- I rediscovered it only last week, by typing "gematrian" into Google images. The black and white compass is the first image to come up!

Refer to my work on relating gematria to hole2 here:
http://members.aol.com/mattthepale/hole2.html

And if anyone has a better idea on what to do with the information I've gathered, please let me know.

I am currious how you decided on how big to make your wheels. Did you just use the images at thier normal size or did you adjust them? This would alter the intersection point.

I used the images at their normal size; i.e., the same size as they appear on both the original site and LYCGY.

gematrian = right track

I think Matt_the_Pale is headed down the right path. Great work. Just to add some more support to the significance of Gematrian numbers in the larger scheme of things (which are, as he correctly notes, used for geolocation):
4*8*15*16*23*42 = 7418880
tan 7418880 = 0
tan 741888 = -3.0776835
(also tan 108 = -3.0776835 and tan 1080 = 0. And of course, 4+8+15+16+23+42 = 108)
Sorry if I'm being obvious, but a tan=0 means the number is divisible by 360
And for future reference, the other gematrian tangent value is: 0.726542528

In case you're wondering why I deleted the final 0 from 7418880:
From http://www.greatdreams.com/gem1.htm:
"You can also verify it by entering the number on your calculator, and checking to see that the tangent is equal to 0.726542528 or 3.077683537. The tangents are both positive and negative numbers, but we will ignore that, for the most part, in our study of The Code.

The above is true when the ending number is 2, 4, 6, or 8. Some Gematrian numbers end in a zero, such as 1260. Larger Gematrian numbers that end in zero, such as 1080, also have a zero tangent, but you can still check it by removing the final zero or zeros, and checking the tangent. For the number 1080, remove the zero and check the tangent of 108 to see it is -3.077683537. "
