Anyone else notice that the two cities we have hotel receipts from (London and Paris) also seem to come up somewhere else ?
Not saying it means anything, but it seems that Hugh spends a lot of time in those cities. It might explain the names for the upload directories. Maybe it means which city he was in when he uploaded it

Is THF.org working for everyone? It keeps telling me i need the newest version of flash when i know i already have it (unless they updated it in the last 7 hours), and now it just loads a white screen

Right, done it! I've worked it out:
There are two versions of thehansofoundation: thehansofoundation.org and www.thehansofoundation.org. I'd been working on the one without the wwws, and themouthpiece doesn't work on that site. Also, anything you've done one one does not relate to what's happened on the other. That means I had to go through the whole persephone bit on www.thehansofoundation.org in order to get it to work.
Hope that helps (or even makes sense, I guess...), anything else happening?
Close, but no cigar. You can type anything.thf.org and it will work. What happens is that if you go to www.thehansofoundation.org, the flash creates a directory called www.thehansofoundation.org that stores all of your information concerning what's been done on the site. If you then go to IheartAlvarHanso.thehansofoundation.org, a directory is created called IheartAlvarHanso.thehansofoundation.org that stores brand new information. I think you're right about Hugh's login only working on www.thf.org, though.

This can't just be about this... I find it hard to believe that the story ends here with this. I doubt we went through the trail and I doubt Persephone is breaking into Hanso just to air some tabloid dirty laundry. I guess the basic point of "all is not what it seems" is made, but that's been done before. What does this new information give us?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It gives us a new character. Who is this girl? Is she really Hugh's chippy on the side with expensive tastes? Or, is Hugh masking covert activities under the guise of an expensive affair? Spending ridiculous amounts of money on a girl might be a good way of burying something like paying an investigator's expenses. I'd be seriously disappointed if all we learn is that Hugh McIntyre is a philanderer.

...No one said it ends here! There will be plenty more, I'm sure. But right now I feel like The Hanso Foundation is being advertised so that when more interactive parts of the game begin, there will be enough players to make it awesome.

Has anyone else noticed the hidden bit of the page directly under the lower left corner that shifts the background spotlights around? I don't know if it has any significance, but I keep clicking it to get the weird hypnotic effect.

I really can't figure out what you're talking about. By "background spotlight," do you simply mean the yellow square that highlights links when hit the tab button? I've seen someone mention "background spotlights" before, but the term still has me baffled, and I can't find anything like a "hidden bit" in the lower left-hand corner. I almost thought I found something new when hitting the tab button on the Homepage though. If you keep hitting it until it's over that orange picture of a city, and then one more time, it highlights a small square in the top of that picture. But when you hit "enter" it simply takes you to that newspaper clipping that you get if you use the scrolldown bar to the side of that picture. Although I don't recall it highlighting that section of the picture before.

Something else weird, that I think is different and I don't think has been brought up befoer. I even used the search function and it's not finding this. On the electromagnetic page, under the picture where it shows the x and y coordinates for your cursor, the caption reads...
Early morning hours of October 62, 9291.
I'm positive I looked at this date on the old site and was a normal date. These numbers have definitely changed. I also recognize what they are. They're the exact coordinates you need to go to for the arrow to turn into a hand. That is, x 629 and y 291.

EXCUE the shouting.
I GOT IT TO WORK....
ok here is the deal the only time the password worked is when i went through the full process of going to the compass site and clicking around everything. Once that happened all of a sudden the password worked. They dont want you to cheat and actually go through the experience to get stuff. I love that they just had to include visa in all of this but in this case it made sense the guy uses visa to be a not so family guy.
Ok thats a bout it.

629 and 291 were the x y coordinates on the map that needed to be clicked. The date was a little hint to get you there.

Can anyone tell me why the date of the Electromagnetic Research Initiative, is October 62,9291, underneath the picture? It's 19292610 backwards. Am I just looking into it too much?

the mouth piece If you are 'logged in', re: you've logged in at the newsletter sign-up page, the mouth piece should work. If you are not logged in, it shouldn't. When you close the browser, the shockwave file should 'forget' that you've logged in and gotten Persophone's attention...
