[SUGGESTION] Email Sente I seriously think we need to be asking Sente some serious questions, like: Why the **** didn't you tell us the Cube is a weapon capable of obliterating both our world and yours simultaneously!?

Um. Mightn't that make things a little difficult, in terms of the whole "So, how did you find that information out?" stakes? Lets not jump in feet first...

Screw that.
We don't have to tell him, and chances are he'll be on the defensive too fast to ask .
I'm sick of tippy-toeing around Sente. He asked us to recover the Cube for him; it's time he played straight with us.

I'm tempted to say something - and it's not like we have to tell anyway, right? He's the one asking us for help, and we've done a pretty good job so far, considering.
But there's still a pretty big risk, there. So it sure won't be me, because I'm a coward.

Sente: It isn't. Wherever did you get that idea from, you crazy Earth people? Patrick, why did you let these people in here again...?

That's the thing, though, isn't it?
Who in Perplex City has played straight all the way?
Kurt: Went on the Miranda Hunt because he worked out he'd given the police a false alibi for a murderer
Violet: Just got caught lying to get hold of a heritage piece of equipment
Scarlett: Lied to everyone about her whereabouts for months.
These are the three that we have the closest interactions with, and they've proven to be fairly easy to sway into dishonesty, if not criminal activity!
To be blunt, we don't have the moral high ground. We don't even have evidence that Perplex City, its inhabitants and the Cube aren't just fictional constructs by a company in our own world.

lol - It would be great to send Sente an e-mail to confuse him and get him worried, such as:
We know what you know, what you don't want us to know, no?
But lets not send any e-mails as like many other people such as Juxta have already said, he would ask how we knew and its better to have the "one over him" at the moment, just until we find out all of the facts.

I think we should contact him about this. He hired MC to set this all up. If we run around assuming he's "the bad guy" or has some horrible intentions, we'll probably never see the reward money. You think MC is gonna be like, "Wow, it's a good thing we didn't turn the cube over to Sente... here's 100,000 pounds on us." I don't think so.
What's the worst that could happen? What exactly do we "have over on him"? Nothing. He's political. He'll have a simple answer such as, "I didn't want certain people intercepting such sensitive information, bla, bla, bla..." He might get suspicious, but that could be a good thing. If he has the bad motives everyone seems to think he does, it might flush him out a little.
He hasn't been a key figure for a while. We have no ongoing dialog with him. He'll probably give up on us. We hit him with information he doesn't think we know and that will show him we are working on this and are going beyond the little puzzle cards and official PXC events, etc. This will be good.
Please do a better job of convincing me that e-mailing him is a bad idea. Short of that, let's hear your inputs on what to/not to say cause I think this is a good idea and I'm going for it.
And don't forget - he came to us with this.
Edit: No, I will not ruin this for everyone. If the majority says don't do it, I won't. But please convince me. I'm in the mood for a shake up.

"Convince you"? How about we actually find out what happened yesterday first maybe. See post above for obvious reasons why. Just because you feel like "shaking things up" doesn't mean that it's the best idea, nor even a good one.
Point 1: Understand the situation. We got a fair bit of new information yesterday, and plenty of unresolved issues. I'm guessing that we'll get some form of information or clarification from either Kurt or Violet - heck, enough people have emailed them both.
Point 2: Realise that your actions have consequences. Wade into Sente and you might wind up losing us an ally, exposing our friends less-than-legal activities, or (gods forbid) killing Kurt (again)
I'm all for having more of an ongoing dialogue with Sente (even with those scary eyebrows), and yes, he's largely been our silent partner in all of this - for the past year or so at least. Lets just not do it the *wrong* way.
J
N.B. I'm going to make the assumption that your first paragraph, regarding the non-payment of the £100,000, is just an illustration of your point, and not any kind of attempt to "put the frighteners" on the Earth CRT, in an effort to push your suggestion further by suggesting that Mind Candy aren't going to put up the prize money.

I'm in agreement with Juxta on this.
We had a lot of excitement yesterday and I think we need to let the dust settle before doing anything.
I personally think that its better not to confront Sente with what we know but to take comfort from the fact that we do know something he doesn't want us to know... It makes it our game (as it were) to play!

Let's think long-term about this: whoever finds the Cube is going to be giving possibly a superweapon back into the hands of a city that has had it on display , in a world where nearly everyone thinks they've got divine right to it, with a security system that from the looks of it has been breached twice in one night. At least on Earth no-one has much hope of working out how to use it. It's safer here. Besides, it'd make a great trophy for
Ollie
whoever finds it, and the best place for it would probably be in a deep vault somewhere on Earth where the Third Power couldn't find it and no-one knew how to use it.
That, and I'm sort of mad at Perplex City for thinking it's a great idea to do everything at 4pm or thereabouts UK time. The most populous parts of the world are in bed around that time, and it's clear that they're really only interested in one part of the world instead of getting as many hunters involved as they could. So I'm not really inclined to do them a solid especially if it looks like more trouble than it's worth.
Also, hi. I'm new to unfiction.

The other thing to bear in mind is Sente might end up knowing a lot more about what has been going on anyway over the next few days.
Violet is going to have a lot of explaining to do thanks to the ferrogramatograph, and even though she is undoubtably good at covering for herself, I'm not sure that Sente is going to buy half-truths.
Scarlett is going to have to explain to Violet where she got a car from (and there is no way that Violet will accept anything but the truth from her little sister), and Kurt is going to have to explain away a missing Miranda/Caroline/whoever.
If this was a game of counterpoint, you might say that there are going to be rather a lot of ripples going through the landscape - and we don't yet know how it is all going to end up looking.
<Wild spec> Maybe there will be a family meeting where everyone tells the truth - in which case Sente would have to explain to Scarlett how he is involved with Viendenbourg as well! </Wild spec>

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
[TIAG]The bit about not getting the reward money was strictly in-game. I know MC will honor the reward.[TIAG]
I like the dust settling idea, but I think we should revisit the issue soon. We can use this as a means of gaining more information. Simply telling Sente that we know he's kept stuff from us and that it would help if he could tell us as much as possible would probably do the job without giving anything away about or contacts. This isn't just about yesterday's events. He should be more available to us as a rule.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
[TIAG]Obviously if something is mentioned in an e-mail to Sente that MC doesn't want revealed to him, they'll simply do an auto-response and ignore it.[TIAG]
