GIF89a is just the official name for the .gif standard. It's just a type of image file. Gifs can be animated, but animated gifs have all frames stored in a single image file. That doesn't mean this definitely just one frame of an animation, but if it is, it's not a typical "animated gif."

those dots could be interpreted as such.... what do you guys think... sorry I don't have the 100's of hours for trial and error... to see if there is a piece of the image that fits this idea... go here for a good jumping off point

I can read Braille like I can read English but I can't really see anything that could be interpreted as Braille. I'll have another look in a second. Or if anyone has found anything that looks like it already, just stick it up here.

 		Thanks Etymologician. Like I said, I am just learning here and have so far amazed myself with what I have been able to figure out without looking here for help.

I figured it was worth a shot since we all seem to be groping around in the dark on this one.

 		This goes back to the last page, but when I lived in Philly the Amish folk in the BFN made all of their human figures (dolls,paintings,etc.) without faces. It had something to do with the belief that only god can make a human face. There's also a few African cultures who don't produce faces on their art for the same general reason.

Someone said that it was a standard .gif, nothing hidden in it. I'll take their word for it.

The broken link I posted was to a redscale of it next to a bluescale of it. That would work for 3D Glasses.

I don't think it is a picture to begin with. My vote is for a graphical representation of manipulated data or sorts to get that picture. Like an mpthree or something. Regardless, it has no hidden audio in it, and I can't find any governing formula for El Dots. So, I'm going to guess the next persephone update(it's blank now) will deal with that.
