PerplexCity Puzzle Cards - new stockists - UK

Please find below the latest list of UK retailers who are stocking the PxC cards. Feel free to add any new that you might encounter, or if you have any potential additions to the list, dash off a missive to retailSPLATmindcandydesign.com

Cards are still available in the normal manner from Playlounge in London, and of course Firebox

Please drop me a message if I've made any typo's or glaring geography errors and I'll correct them. Feel free to add any new stockists on here too, or likewise just message me and I'll incorporate them into this post.

Cheers
J

Went into Skill 2000 today;

I asked if they sold the Perplex City cards, the lady who owned the shop replied 'God no we don't sell them' in disgust. She then told me to check in 'Beales'. I wouldn't go down their to buy cards if I were you.

The woman who owns the shop is very scary; she reminds me of that crazy French woman in Lost. Shocked

Laughing yeah, I know what you mean, I went in there a couple of years back looking for a part time job, she was scary and put me off going to there. 'Tis a shame they don't sell them as it is in a very convenient place, (I could by a pack a day on my way to uni).

I can confirm that the cards are on sale at Forbidden Planet - although nearly sold out - and Hamleys - although with a typical Hamleys mark-up and so costing £2.99 a pack.

woot!

have to confess to being a teensy bit scared of this shop, they may be dressed as orcs or try to decapitate me with a yu-gi-oh card or something, but i shall endeavour to confirm stockingness by thursday :)

rach =) [/code]

Scared? Eek...and this is coming from the young lady with...the Batgirl outfit in her wardrobe...those orcs must be pretty realistic, tread with care.

*nods seriously*

*runs*

EDIT - after a re-read of SpugMeistress' original post, it appears that the orcs wear stockings. In which case, I too am scared.

Made the trip to Forbidden Planet in Newcastle. THey have a good stock of cards, which i bought several packs of just for the hell of it since i dont need any from the first 66...oh well.

I also worked out that there is a price to pay for instant gratification, once you add in parking, petrol etc, it works out at more expensive than an internet order form firebox, especially with the vouchers.....not to mention the fact that you have to make sure no one sees you go into the shop in case they think you are a saddo orc-mask wearing geek......Err... Laughing

None anywhere near either of the places I live in/near, where I'm at uni nearest one is Bristol (im at Bath) while when I'm at home the nearest one is Torquay, too far to go on a weekend home. When I get my firebox catalogue I'll be ordering some cards from there though.

I wonder when the rest of the world will get more stockists... Hoping for one in Atlantic Canada here... I swear I'd make it worth their while...
