The clues

We should have a better idea after the second or third show - for what these clues will mean. I think that we get one "word" each week and by the end it's a question where the answer is the location. At this point, only given "Where" it's just a giant crap shoot.

However, is our location going to be the same as the tv show's location? If so, we could use a good screen cap of the map from last night. Anyone recognize the coast line?

Oh, I'm in the hunt with you all. I agree, this contest has "UF" expertise written all over it!
But I'm a bit confused about the "next show". All the tv guides (online and on the cable itself) do NOT show any episode tonight. Are we getting it next Monday instead?

Maybe it is just your local market? My online TV guide says NBC is showing "Treasure Hunters (repeat)" at 8:00pm tonight, followed by "Treasure Hunters (new)" at 9:00pm tonight.

Ok, I just guessed Hover Dam. If I remeber corectly that was where the money was going to be hidden in Push Nevada, before they got cancelled. So maybe we are just gittting that money.

Ha. My online TV guide says NBC is showing: NHL Hockey - Stanley Cup Final, game 7. Edmonton Oilers at Carolina Hurricanes. (If necessary; alternate primetime lineup includes two episodes of ``Treasure Hunters,'' and ``Medium.''). Lovely.

Yeah, there's a new episode tonight (6/19) at 9pm.

There was a sign on the way to Mt. Rushmore - something along the lines of "Rush to the artifact." On the sign was a company; it was something finance...does anyone remember the name of it? Was I the only one who thought that the signs that said "Rush to where the Treasure stands" were digitally inderted? They looked pretty fakey/CG to me.

No, you weren't. Smile They were definitely added. Cheesy effect, and didn't add anything to the show. Not sure why they did that.

Not only that, but at times, when he was 'explaining the rules' to the contestants at the Lincoln Memorial, there were voice-overs added that sounded really bad.

insert random where.gif insult/joke here.

And about the host? It seemed to me that he was really...uhh..."Expressive" (that was, sarcasm by the way)

Oh, as the show was going on, between the blatant product placements was another blatant one, accompanied by some interesting words that brought the words PUZZLE! to my mind. on the bottom of the screen, twice a ASK.com box appeared, once with the words "Treasure Hunters Auditions" and the second time..with..uhh..something about Mount Rushmore. Unfortunatley, i missed that one. Embarassed

Anyways, typing those into ask.com doesnt bring up much, except that "treasure hunters auditions", as you can see in the link above, brings up the audition videos of each team.

As one more random thought, if they offer auditions for a second season, some trio of uFers better audition! Very Happy

If the new show was broadcasted in one market, and not another, there would be major cries of "foul" since there is a national $$ contest.
The culprit is the Hockey game.

Indeed. But check the site: Episodes every Monday starting June 26th. Looks like they just pushed it back a week.

Ok I just watched my tape fowards, backwards and in slow mo, having flash backs of The great Push NV, and te disaster that was Pull NJ (If you know what that is you are my new best friend)

Anyway, have yet to investigate all of these so I am just posting them so I don't forget.

1. The credits had a website that I tried to make out. I think it was Pasificwings.com I will be trying hat out soon.

Edit: Pacificwings.com is a site you can only see with internet explorer. Something seems shady. Not so much in the ARG way, but the you're stupid if you think flying with them is a good idea.

2. The name of he show is not really Treasure Hunters. It has that wierd greek letter in it. As did the cryptext they used, You think it will crypt to something?

3. As said by SirQuady those ask.com things came up. The 2nd one said "Rushmore Hall of Records."

Edit: 1st link is a cool pic, and story. Check it out.

4. the combo was 1 3 26 16. Isn't 16 a lost number. (Sorry lost on te brain)

5. I was thinking. The winner of this web thing gets to go to the live Finally. This was a clue by mistake. Where would NBC hold a finally?

All I got for now, off to investigate!

Totally. I noticed that when a billboard for Genworth was seen while the Genius/Professionals team was heading to Rushmore from Mt. Roosevelt. Not only was the color of the billboard impossibly bright, but it didn't even stay with the pace of the bus. While the background scenery was moving by at a quick pace, the billboard moved noticeably slower so it would stay viewable in the windshield.

Hmm... www.pacificwings.com doesn't work for me. The google cache'd version found when searching "Pacific wings" brings up a broken image and a 2 colour line.

The second hour of the show was just repeated on NBC this evening. I have to ask again, anyone able to get a screen capture of the map that was in the box that the teams got beneath Mt Rushmore? I don't have that capability.

We need to figure out the coastline to help narrow down the location of the treasure.
