I'll be in San Francisco this weekend and will quite possibly make it down to Palo Alto too. But I don't want to be a live event hog, so I'll let somebody else field this. If nobody turns up, please send me a message.

First, damn, Krispy. Nice job! Well done. Kudos galore fo' you!
Second, thank you. Both for your fieldwork in Seattle, and your offer to do fieldwork now.

Have we nailed everything we can on this? What's this about hollowing the clay?

As for the new information, I'm going to be excrutiatingly close to Stanford this weekend. I put in the adjective because I'm going to be staffing one of the three conventions in the San Jose area, and won't be able to break free with any reliability. Combine this with the fact that I'm going to be going down to Costa Mesa for business the day after the Con ends, and.... yeah.

I don't know if this can wait until the 3rd. If it can, I may be able to run for the drop.

However, I think having to wait a week for progress would kill game momentum.

I'm open to input, folks. I'll have sporadic net access at BayCon.

New post on sue's blog:

Quote:
I said "sacrifice" to John and his eyes glazed over. He grabbed my shoulders and he said, "He keeps asking me why we aren't making the sacrifice! I hear him asking all the time. My sister, she doesn't stop crying. We need to DO something, Sue!"

It gave me chills... and I think John is right. I need to start doing something so it thinks I'm doing what it wants. What should I do?

Just a little interesting tidbit I discovered while trying to figure out how this ritual is supposed to work; don't know if it's important (I doubt that it is). At the end of the second paragraph of cypher1.jpg that krispy2 recovered there are some quoted lines. It turns out that those are lines from T.S. Eliot's poem entitled "The Hollow Men". Nothing stands out in the poem except that it was partly based on Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" that had been used in the batch processor. Just wanted that down for the record as a cool connection. Now back to that ritual...
