In that case, I can identify six of the ten songs for certain. Two more (#5 and #6) I thought I recognized, but I must be wrong since the names aren't on the list. I am ashamed to admit that I don't seem to know what #2 is called, and there's one more for which I have no idea whatsoever.

Edit: Found #2. I feel much better now.

(I also know both of the other questions, although I doubt anyone's having much trouble with them.)

Yes, but seeing as there's 4 of us at least that are entered from this forum, It's the first one to enter correctly, if someone spends a few hours working on it, then finds the winner had just copied the answers from the the forum or had 20 people helping them win, then they would feel a bit pissed don't ya think? - it kinda defeats the whole object of it all. I don't think anyone should get any help from forum or chat members, I personally feel like that would be cheating and would put people off entering or spending time on future competitions.

Saying that, i've got 7 so far, and i'm stumped! lol

I hope so, since I was picked as well and missed my chance because my stupid internet service went down this afternoon. Plus, I think my code or numbers are messed up. I'm pretty sure I'm decoding everything right and it's still gibberish. I emailed the webmaster to double check my numbers for next time.

There's no way I'm getting those songs though, so maybe it's for the best!

I honestly didn't see any problem posting it in the forum as it gives all the puzzlers the same chance, should they decide to use the tool. I looked at the song list and due to the obscurity of some of the tunes, I thought this would be a welcome assist.

In deference to your preference, I'll keep my links to myself during the weekly challenges, though it goes against my wont to help folks with stuff if I can.

EDIT: I got a reply from the Ash Grove Park webmaster about my code being off by a little. I sent the Mystery Code, my Admit One ticket numbers and the Solve as it works out and as I think it was meant to be.

The word I know it to be isn't in there anywhere, so I guess this is a bonafide general autoreply.

That's the same reply I recieved. I only included my Gift Ticket number and my code with my email. I hope that's enough...

Are you starting your grid with 0 or 1? You should start it with 0 for it to come out correctly.

If you feel that way, Rogi than you should be sharing your links...

How is it cheating if they all have access to the same info? Is Wikipedia cheating?

Frankly I feel that so long as the info is posted here, where all UFers can access it at all times, its making the same resourcers available to ALL participants. To me thats perfectly fair.. more so than Joe Smith calling his cousin who works with publci domain music in some capacity - and you can't tell me thats nopt fair game.

I woudl understand objection if we were showing preference to one particular player from UF, then that would be unfair. The link was posted to the forums where any UFer could find it with no effort, so the playign field - for UFers - remains even. Its still fair competition, for those who like competition.

Besides, we can assume other people NOT from UF may be playing. In that case, I'd really want us to be posting help for UF competitors to these forums as.. well.. we're family. I'd rather one of us win than someone from the Outside.

For the record, I will be posting everything I know, as I find it for the future puzzles to the forums except in the event that I am actively participating. Thats my decision and I feel its right.

Again, if its posted to UF no UFer is gettign preferential treatment. We all can read here.. it becomes no different a resource than Wiki or anythign else on the internet. As for noNUFers... screw 'em.

So I encourage y'all to post what you know.. but in spoiler tags of course

I've created a quick javascript ticket solver for the people that think their tickets are wrong. (or that cannot figure out how to decode them)

Your tool comes up with the same answer I got, Kender.
My 2nd character is not what it should be.

Oh well, I finally sent off my competition results, I wanted to send them off last night, but I got stuck on the 10th + final tune, couldn't find it on any circus albums, so I went back to it with a fresh head this morning.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's an American anthem and it wasn't on any albums because it's only played in the circus in times of emergency!

It's kind of ironic that people from the USA probably got that one straight away and it took me hours! Crying or Very sad

I don't want to hear another circus tune as long as I live! Laughing

OK. I've missed something here: why was there two set of tickets?? Shocked

I've read you have ten minutes to send the email if your ticket is drawn; as 5pm EST is 12pm in Spain I thought I could try it on sunday morning but this way I wont be able to take part in the contest Crying or Very sad

If someone wants an extra set of tickets, let me know Sad
