[Q/META] UK Cyphers affiliate site

Hello

I guess the easiest way to start this thread is with my correspondance with SC.

My mail:
Quote:
Hello
I'm playing as a Wakeful Agent at the moment, and wondered whether you were going to get feedback from the players? It would be a strong way to go, as should make each Case better than the last (and also show to players how much you care about their views, thus encouraging future participation).

If you're interested in a UK branch I'd happily help out, although sadly my programming skills are weak.

Will's response:
Quote:
We definitely plan to solicit feedback from you guys. One of the reasons
cases are relatively short is so that we can improve and adapt quickly.
Getting responses from the players is a big part of that.

As for the UK, we're going to establish ourselves some more before we
think about expanding. However, we'll definitely support affiliate sites
(like a collection of UK-specific Weird; we might even be able to find
some stuff in the old case files if you want to go that route).

I posted the full mails as I think the point about feedback is important.

Now, my techno skills aren't that great, so I wouldn't be able to set up a site, and from playing ARGs that have crashed and burned it's clearly best to have a team behind any attempts. At the risk of exposing my raging ego, I think I'd be pretty good with story lines, and I'm reasonable with graphics.

So my question is, are there any players out there who would be interested in working on this, preferably including some decent techno dudes/ dudettes for site work? Please think it through before replying as if we are going to do it, it will take commitment in terms of time (though if we get a team together this is lessened).

I gave it some thought, as requested. I can't do it personally, but being a geek near Silcon Valley, I know a person or three that may be able to aid. Would you know what you might need?
