[EVENT] Leeds Swap Meet 28th May

Due to popular(ish) request I've got in touch with Travelling Man and I'm happy to announce:

28th May
10am - 4.30pm

Perplex City Swap Meet
Travelling Man
Corn Exchange
Leeds

Be there and be square.

P.S. Going to email Mind Candy and try and get it on the official site. Also, is there anything I need to get set up at Travelling Man? Tables? Power sockets for laptops?

Jack

great!

we will need: a table, some chairs for the oldies.
If they have free wifi and laptop power so much the better.

oh and cans of strong continental lager and pop with cookies and sweets.
or failing that generous discount vouchers for those lovely comics they have there.

Might be worth asking mind candy for some stickers too, for a street-team rampage Leeds style.

Will try to get there. Could be a good day. Mercury, the Queen tribute band at Holmfirth Picturedrome that night. They're supposed to be good.

Hi guys, have emailed Perplexcity Community to ask for a bit of advertising. Hopefully see some stickers and such up around Leeds soon.

Excuse me for hijacking this thread for a moment.

I don't mean to be snarky, but this thread reminded me of something that I was thinking about earlier today: do we still need a stickied announcement of a London Swap/Meet from January at the top of this page?

Now back to your regularly scheduled Leeds Swap Meet info thread.

Hope we're still on for this tomorrow.

Unfortunately, due to work, I won't be able to leave Middlesbrough until about 1pm, but will get there as quick as I can. Save some goodies for me!!

Man, any day this week but today would have been peachy. Steve (the big guy in TM who used to have long hair and now has no hair) told me about this weeks ago but sadly I'd already arranged to throw a housewarming. Count me in for the next one though, and please help yourself to any of the puzzles cards I left on the counter on Free Comic Book Day - there's still quite a few left Smile

Nice to meet you all!! i think I managed to give away about, ohh, 2 cards, but I got the nice scratch and sniff one!!! So it was well worth it Smile

here's some pictures taken towards the end of the meet. Including "the Flourish" and the Tower of Cards (as high as a small child)

No, which I'm a bit suprised about. I only emailed them once though, was pretty busy right up until the day. Would have loved a shiny poster or summat.
