Odd little site.

Kind of quirky. Douglas Adams and Alice in Wonderland references.

It's pretty weird.

http://www.misstheground.com

It's pretty entertaining, though. There are a bunch of hidden puzzles to be found, and I figure, you guys are the ones for it. It looks like it's still being updated (the end is a brick wall kind of deal that says there'll be more tomorrow).

If not, what the heck does it mean?

I found it here.

That's a ROT - ROT-10 on the first half and ROT-1 on the second half, hence the numbers. It translates to:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

it seems your black rabbit was a red herring

There are two things hidden on that first page:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
First is a bunch of ASCII numbers which, as lyonmain told us, is the Jabberwocky.

The second is a hidden link White Rabbit

I've found four things hidden on the front page so far. Five, if the black rabbit counts as hidden.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1001 is binary for 9 and there's a secret message in Jabberwocky.

Yeah, the Jabberwocky (at least when I de-ASCIIed it) didn't come out right, but I haven't taken the time to see what happens when you find out what happened to the mistakes.

as _L says, it's just "brickwall".

So where does this get us -

The Jabberwock is a Brick Wall
The White Rabbit tells us that there is more down the hole
The Black Rabbit tells us that the Rabbit is a red herring.

I'm guessing that the _A_ is a hint for the ROT to decipher the only 3 letter word as _a_.

But where next?....._L you seemed to imply that there is somewhere telling us that more will be posted tomorrow...... Where do you get this from?

it's brickWall; the difference is subtle but important.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

i'm not sure what the _A_ is for yet. still stewing that over.

edit: you've missed something in your list: you're still missing that 1001 thing.

...oops. All the relevant pages are at /6mos/whatever, yeah? Well, the directory listing can be seen at http://www.misstheground.com/6mos/.

Pages we haven't seen:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

http://www.misstheground.com/6mos/joyous.html
http://www.misstheground.com/6mos/figure.html
http://www.misstheground.com/6mos/kingofsuits.html
http://www.misstheground.com/6mos/9.html
http://www.misstheground.com/6mos/8.html

Spoilered because it's probably not the way one is supposed to find these things, and maybe someone wants to do it properly.

And is it just me or does the counter on the 1001.html page count down to something more like 2 months than 6 months? I come out with 57 days.

Ah, it's been blocked off now. But the other links still work.

Any speculation on where our $5 should go? Me, I'm thinking the unfiction forum fund. Very Happy

hah, yeah Smile

I'm holding a fiver for these guys (or this guy, or that gal, or whatever lol) in case the site keeps expanding. the puzzles so far have been fun, and if it keeps up, I think it'd be worth it to toss some pocket change their way.
