T-Quest - Save the football (Rettet den Fussball)

The Archaeological Institute Norman Brenecke (Website is in German) is searching for six missing statues and looking for help. The statues are looking like football-players and dancers and may contain some magical powers. A member of the excavation team on Lifuku (an island in Tonga, where the statues have been found in a hidden cave) is also missing. Her name is Vaiola Kanongata'a. Everything looked like she has been kiddnapped.

In the German forum of Rettet den Fussball the user Malik found out a strange coincidence. Vaiola's Ex, Sergio Robledo Fernandez, who had also been working for the institute, but who wasn't with the excavation team, is missing too for some days now and malik assumed that Sergio may have been involved in the robbery, but there is no proof for that right now.

I signed up to help them and they provided me (and I think the others who signed up as well) with a link for Tonga Travel with information about the Kingdom of Tonga.

Hi Blaqueice,

Well, yes you are right. The first page (the one of the institute) is in German only. The registration page can be found here. During the registration you can set up a new group/team or you can type in the name of an existing group to join them. After the registration-process you have your own communication portal where you can put notes, links, etc. which can be added in english. And you will find a hint to the tongatravel.to website, which is in english.

Maybe you can help out with the non-German websites and I try to translate the German parts for the unforums.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The members of the Norman Brenecke institute assume that Sergio Robledo Fernandez is the thief of the six statues and he is on his way to leave the kingdom of tonga to somewhere. If you visit the tongatravel.to website, you will sometimes see a banner-ad of Afi ika, which is the oldest and largest water-taxi and boat charter company in Tonga. I am not sure about that website, but I contacted Viliami Fonua, who seems to be the owner of this company. I described Sergio to him and asked him, wether he has seen someone like Sergio within the last days. Currently Fonua is out of office, so all I got back on my email was an away message, which lead me to
Fonua's myspace-profile. I don't know if this is the right way, but right now it looks like it is the only way to go on.

I made some notes, added some links on the institute's website and got an email back, that they have found a second statue (five are still missing) which was still in Tonga. The hotel-manager of the Resort at Billy's Place has found the statue in the room of Mr. Fernandez after he had left the hotel.

That's all so far for tonight, i think. Any ideas or thoughts, how to go on?

Can you help us please?

Hi everybody,

Im am really sorry to post again in this thread, but this time I really need your help. We have recorded this mp3 of a phonecall with Mauricio Cordaz. He may be one of the people who bought one of the six stolen figures.

We don't need a German translation of it, and we know, that Mauricio isn't a native speaker at all, but we are not able to make out, what he is talking about in the last part of his message, especially the last word. It's the one that comes right after "coffeeshop". Can you help us out with that, please. What do you hear on this one?

Short summary for the background: We found out that the thief, Sergio Robledo Fernandez, was working together with Kassandra Hölzl. They had a shop, where they sold their stolen antiques. The six stolen figures were sold to people all over the world. And we found out, that Kassandra died in a plane crash. When you take a closer look at the crash site, you can find a catalogue of bauhaus design furniture, where we got Mauricio's mobile number from (see last page).

Thanks,
Patrol

Thanks chippy Smile

That are great news. We were already stuck with that, because everybody heared something like "in stijl" and we never got any website-results with that. We now try to find a website with that new name.

EDIT: Okay, just to let you know. The address is http://www.destijl-coffeeshop.nl/ So Mauricio was saying "de stijl". Thanks for your help again.
